Well...it is DC's most popular stuff...and there's a movie being made. I can't say as I blame them...and I'm certainly not saying that it's, at this point, a dead horse.
As to being sick of it or not, I'm willing to withhold judgment. I dropped out of Countdown very quickly, skipped Trinity and Wednesday Comics. So I'm not exactly sick of weekly comics, having not actually bought any since 52. If it looks good, I'll give it a try.
It's not weekly comics, or biweekly, it's Green Lantern. I was always a huge Gl fan, whether it be Hal, Kyle, Guy, John or Kilowog and co. But since Geoff Johns took on GL it seems to have been 7,200 Corps members per panel. I missHal having a private life, I miss the Shark and other non-energy based villains, I miss endings . . .
This is great news for fans of John's Green Lantern.
And yet another example of the epic massive stories that the industry specialises in these days.
There are some warning signs in the interview with Johns. He talks about this series being an 'anchor' to which other series will be connected. JLA, Flash etc. That sounds a lot like Countdown being the 'spine' of the DCU to me. Fans hated feeling they were being manipulated into buying all across the line with that series.
52 was brilliant partially because it was a story told completely within its own pages.
The GL franchise may not be a dead horse, but its possible to flog a healthy horse to death!

Check out the Secret Headquarters (my store) website! It's a pretty lame website, but I did it myself, so tough noogies
Listen to WOXY.com, it's the future of rock-n-roll!
I'm looking forward to it.
