From time to time, I have found comics and other good reading material at places like Salvation Army, Goodwill, and my local flea market, but this is the first time I have ever found an original piece of art.

While I unfortunately cut off the "To" and "From" (the top and bottom names, respectively) when I took the photo, my question is: was this a piece of fan art done between friends, a convention sketch, or something else, for in all honesty, I do not recognize either name on the sketch.

And for those interested, I paid the princely sum of $1.99, probably because of the picture frame it was in.

  • So I take it no one knows?

Personally, I'm thinking fan art between friends, since it was all pencils, no inks.

But it's a shame that the person it was given to (Michael D) no longer (willingly?) has it. Not a perfect picture of Batman, but given the wide variety of artists who have worked on the character over the years, definitely a bit above average for sure.
