1)Now we get a "vampire" story, used essentially as a background for developing Rory as a character, and for developing the relationship between Rory and the Doctor, as well as that between Rory and Amy. I liked the way they had Rory criticize the Doctor a bit, but that in the end, itlooked as though there was potential for them to become friends. I thought the Doctor's idea of relationship counselling was pretty amusing, too.
2)The Saturnynians we acceptable baddies - nothing too amazing, but credible creatures. Francesco was extremely oedipal, but maybe fish look at these things differently. And of course, "fish" would be running a "school".
3)The stag party scene was kind of lame, I thought. Apparently, the Eleventh Doctor doesn't do subtle. Also, he hasn't updated his library card in ten lifetimes.
4)Some fun quotes:
- "I'm getting married in 430 years."
- "Yours is bigger than mine." "Let's not go there."
- "Cab for Amy Pond?"
- "You should be in a museum - or a mausoleum."
- "I'm a Time Lord. You're a big fish. Think of the children."
- "Fish from space have never been so...buxom."
- "Did you just say something about Mummy?"
- "Can your conscience carry the weight of another dead race?"
- "We are not her boys." "Yeah, we are." "Yeah, we are."
Overall:
An entertaining enough episode. More noise about the "silence". I can't help thinking that the "silence" mentioned here represents something above and beyond the "Silence" we encounter later on - like there's still some element that we haven't seen yet.

Is it "Silence" or "Silents"?
I think that as a group they're called "Silence", but that an individual would be called a "Silent".
Helen McCrory, who played Rosanna Calvierri in this story, and who appeared of lots of other stuff, has passed away.
