The golden age of Warlock had passed by the time I really got into Marvel around 1983.  And I knew Jim Starlin primarily from The Death of Captain Marvel graphic novel (which was the first superhero comic I read which seemed "adult" in the non-scheevy way) and Dreadstar.  So, this volume will be my first big exposure to Adam Warlock, formally "Him" from the Lee-Kirby FF days.  I'll start reading this weekend between chapters of Les Miserables and if you have a copy, or the original comics, read along and we'll talk about it.

  • I love the smirk. Kind of an "Oh yeah, I'm a cool MF and you know it!" I was thinking about getting this & I still might but I have a lot of the material from the 80s reprint series so that is putting it on the back burner.
  • A lot of this will also play out in the Guardians of the Galaxy film.

  • ...I had the Masterworks of the pre-Starlin , " new Jesus " , run , but lost it before I finished it:-(.........

      Speaking of which.........
