I sure hope you enjoy them even half as much as I have.

  • Beware, Cavaliere! Once the Dark Side you enter, forever will it dominate your moderation!

    Or something.

Avengers Academy has been pretty good all along. You should like it, Chris!

  • It's a wonderful series, I can't imagine anyone who is a fan of proper Avengers books (hee) not loving it.
  • No worries, Cavaliere.  You asked me if I would buy Avengers Academy if it had an X in front of it.  Truthfully- yes, I would have.  I try almost every new X-title though I don't stick it out with all of them.  New Mutants has been consistently mediocre whenever I've peeked in for an issue.  And I bought Generation Hope, featuring the new young X-team, but quickly dropped it since it wasn't very good.  But I didn't want to try an Avengers spin-off as I wasn't buying any of the parent titles.  However, your recommendation (as well as the good words by others) convinced me that I was missing out on something out.  Then the reprint that was included in an issue of Uncanny X-Men (yes, Marvel wanted mutant readers to try Avengers Academy too) and the guest-arc in Amazing Spider-Man sealed the deal.  So I went on a summer shopping spree and bought all of the issues to date (I ordered the last two on Saturday).  If anything, you've done me a favor- turning me on to a series that I might not have tried otherwise.
