I don’t really know why I bought this one-shot, but it was a light week so I did. The Watcher narrates the 50 year history of the Marvel Universe, hitting the highlights in the order in which they appeared, ignoring continuity implants, unlike, say, The Marvel Saga, which attempted to incorporate later “retcons” into a chronology of how “behind the scenes” events intertwined with the stories as they were originally released. IOW, doesn’t expect to see anything of Wolverine’s days as a spy or any of Professor Xavier’s adventures before he lost the use of his legs.
It’s concise and profusely illustrated. I don’t know how many of you reading this would be interested, but I like this kind of thing.
