Updated.  I found Kokoro to be an interesting and enjoyable read.  I heartily recommend it.

Updated. Quite enjoyed the Miyabe book. A fun, exciting read.

Updated.  Saitō's book was interesting, although I'm not sure I quite understood everything he was trying to say.  One interesting thing - apparently one of the inspirations for the "magical girl" genre in manga and anime was the TV show Bewitched.

Updated. Another good mystery/thriller from Miyabe. I hadn't expected to finish it while I was here, so I don't know what book I'll be reading next - It'll have to wait until I get home and get a look at the Pile o' Books I Haven't read Yet.

Updated again.
