Updated. I found Kokoro to be an interesting and enjoyable read. I heartily recommend it.

Updated. Saitō's book was interesting, although I'm not sure I quite understood everything he was trying to say. One interesting thing - apparently one of the inspirations for the "magical girl" genre in manga and anime was the TV show Bewitched.
