For those that haven't heard, Mattel announced a couple of weeks ago that they would be ending the Justice League Unlimited action figure line at the end of 2011. I stopped collecting the series a few years ago, but after a nine-year run, and probably somewhere close to 200 figures, I'm going to miss seeing these toys on the shelves -- it was kind of nice to know that they were out there.
They do however, seem to be going out with a bang, announcing lots of long-awaited characters like S.T.R.I.P.E., Vandal Savage, Mongul and Static (something that Dwayne McDuffie was said to be extremely excited about) and promising that every single character that was ever shown to be a member of the League would be made before the year's end.

I just may have to pick up the S.T.R.I.P.E. figure, he looks pretty nifty.

Finding them is the problem.
The last 2 6-packs I never saw.
Some of the press releases are vauge about when they will be released and through what venue.
Are they only con exclusives, Matty colletor, Target...?
Some nice figures there. I would really like the Firestorm 3 pack and to get an orange-shirted Aquaman.
I collect them when I find them cheap, though I did have to break down and buy a Plastic Man ... and now he's the peg-warmer of that wave. Never would have guessed that!
Matty Collector recently ran a poll that asked "Would you buy single carded figures for $12 directly from Matty?" I can't remember now if shipping was included in that figure, but it was a resounding "YES!" from that board.
...Every " real " ( I. e. , DCU . ) League member ?
I mean , the animated universe's fine , too , but , for me ( mebbe ).........
They're referring specifically to the lineup from the show. Apparently, there are only eight official League members left to be made -- Gypsy, the Creeper, Dr. Mid-Nite, the Crimson Avenger, Johnny Thunder, the Thunderbolt, Speedy and S.T.R.I.P.E.
From what I understand, S.T.R.I.P.E. will be sold as a single, and will be a mattycollector.com exclusive.
The remaining seven Leaguers will be sold in a boxed set, which will also be a Mattycollector exclusive.
Some of the announced 3-packs: Firestorm/ Killer Frost/ Angleman; Barry Allen/ Heat Wave/ Mirror Master; and Kyle Rayner/ Evil Star/ Goldface will be convention exclusives. Whatever stock is left over at the end of the convention season will then be sold on mattycollector.
The remaining 3-packs that were announced: Future Superman/ Batman/ Vandal Savage; Static/ Aquagirl/ Micron; and Batman/ Wonder Woman/ Mongul will be sold at Target stores.
The singles that were announced -- most of which were just reissues of figures originally released in multi-packs -- will also be sold at Target.
They're are also rumors floating around that some previously-canceled and/ or unannounced figures like the Toyman, Dr. Destiny, Firefly and Ultraman will finally be released.
Mattel made some more announcements regarding the JLU line at Wonder Con this weekend.

They're apparently releasing some more Mattycollector-exclusive 3-packs:
Alan Scott/ Jay Garrick/ Carter Hall
Starman/ Animal Man/ Adam Strange
It looks like there's also a Guy Gardner figure in the works, and that the previously-canceled Toyman/ Superman/ Aquaman set will be released at retail.
A few more tidbits of information...
Guy will be released at Target in a 3-pack with "Detective" Batman & Martian Manhunter
There's going to be another Target 3-pack with Ted Kord/ Booster Gold & "Powered-Up" Fire.
