MARVEL TALES became the last survivor of what I like to call the " Marvel's Miteist Reprints " era/line of titles when all of the others were cancelled , around the into-the-middish-80s , I believe .

  Yes , I am referring to those 32-page titles that reprinted old Marvel storylines of prime titles month-by-month , without the " special " pretensions of the original Marvel Tales and MARVEL COLLECTOR'S ITEM CLASSICS .

      That's what it was .

      It occurs to me that , anything else aside , the present legal set-up of the comics-shop system , in which the stores order what was solicited months before , and any change requires information being given to the stores , and a recolicitation at least offered , would make that impssible , or nect to so , these days ,! However , even with the moderate amount of comics shops which existed then , I suppose that this was not the leglk standard then .
