Either I haven't been paying attention or this was really low key as far as publicity went. If I hadn't spotted the pilot yesterday while skimming through the chanels I never would have known.

Thanks for calling this to our attention. I've set up the rerun of the pilot to record today. Today's showing is on the Nickelodeon Channel, not the Nicktoons Channel. Not sure if it will be on both.
When I saw the movie previews with the terrified populace screaming "Here comes the Bride!" and the deadly flying garter I knew the intended audience was ME.

I taped the preview but haven't watched it yet.
I enjoyed the movie, too but I'm sure that its intended audience didn't get the references!
I emailed a friend and she emailed back that some are complaining that Suesan's hair will be plastic style instead of the full Pixar flowing style. I figured they don't have the budget for a full Pixar treatment. The Buzz Lightyear cartoon was standard animation with just a few Pixar shots for the opening credits. I wonder if they've got the actors back for the voices.
Saw it just now, had it on dvr and it doesn't look so bad. I like the alien "Covert" and the voices are close. Just have to wait and see how they do with it. They did ok with Buzz.
Haven't watched it yet. The "Pixar Treatment" may be a good descriptor of the technique, but the movie (and presumably the series) is from DreamWorks, Not Pixar/Disney.
I just finished watch my DVD copy of "Argo" which was given to me for my birthday three weeks ago. It was very well done, and is a gripping tale which I lived through as a spectator back in the day. I was an overnight DJ who ran a radio station where every night, on the hour, CBS news would give a 5 minute news summary, and every night, they would talk about the Hostage situation...and it continued through the winter until I left in the spring. I remember our elation when hearing that Canada had hit our people. And even more so, that they had pulled off the escape with false passports!
I have heard recently that Jack Kirby had drawn some artwork in support of the Argo visualization back in 1980...but I don't I recall where I heard this, or exactly how invovled he was in the back-story generation. IIRC, his artwork was either rejected, or accepted and he was paid...and of course, the movie didn't go forward. But it's an interesting footnote.
Argo is high on my Netflix disk list. Hope to see it soon. Just saw Skyfall the same way.

Does anyone recall the true story?
Kirby's involvement was briefly discussed here.

Richard, those are two high powered movies you've got lined up there.
Each one is different, but both deal with the world of spies. Fictional, and real world.
You're in for a real treat! Edge of your seat entertainment!
