Pacific Comics Club

I bought a book on a visit to my OCS here , now that I'm (now , anyway) in Santa Cruz ~ I say a " book " although it cost only 60% of the price of Detective Comics #27 !!!!!

It was a Pacific Comic Club release of " LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE AND THE HAUNTED HOUSE " , a b&w collection of LOA strips ~ printed " cube/early PEANUTS " format , tho bigger size , two panels above two panels , I presumed a reprint of a Platinum Age/Depression-era strip reprint book ~ with a cover showing LOA with yellow hair !

YIPES .  Next thyeyll be making a MUSICAL about her , and she'll be singing along with F.D.R. to encourage him in continuing the New Deal ~

Anyway , I frankly thought it might be 70s , anyway 80s stock that was still around/somehow made it to this store , at so low a price .

However it bore a 2001 copyright on the inside front cover which also bore a  " Just like the Original Series (TM) " comment ( All spelling as the book put it .) , so I was , of course , correct...

  • Why do you put a space before punctuation marks?

  • ...I've seen Pacific Comics Club's stuff (Who , BTW , at least in 2110 didn't have a Web site or if they did they didn't list it .) but , maybe never had enuff simolios to (particularly) indulge .

They do strip reprints , and tend towards authentic reprints of FDR-era collections even , I guess , when said original compilations were not quite as " authentic " - dropping panels , relettering - than it preferred to-day by vintage strip fans .
