Talk about shoes dropping. I thought I was finally catching up and got a bill for around 20,000 for Peter's care. If this happens once a month, I am sunk.

Peter had a visit from Shana, Gwen, and Gwen's son (Peter's grandson) that delighted him greatly.

I am seeing him today for our weekly John Oliver watching. I have to tell them of another friend's death too. I guess we are getting to that age. But it still feels too young to be dying.

Things in the medical world are fine. I am getting all the bills from the last hospital stay.

Caroline is back from Tokyo and had a great time.

I am waiting for an oil delivery so I can have heat and hot water. This go fund me gave me the money to do this

There is an issue with the arm fistula. They are not quite sure but are doing x-rays and another ultrasound.

Think good thoughts for Caroline, She just finished another heart monitor test and she has mono. She has too much to do and this hit her.

Other than a few cat scratches and my right knee acting up. I am fine.

So that is how things are right now in the David household

Monday May 12,2025 Peter is going under the knife again for the fistula. Apparently the vein needs to be moved again. So think good thoughts for Peter.

In better news, Caroline’s heart is just fine. A lot of the problems may be mono related.

Me? I am still in stage manager mode but I did get all the paperwork to Medicaid.

Here is what happened. His fistula was fine but they found a blockage in his right shoulder that was not allowing blood to flow freely. They corrected that so the fistula should now work. If it does consistently, then they remove the catheter that is currently running to his heart making dialysis safer.
Fortunately he is back in rehab rather than the hospital

Peter is doing better. His right hand no longer looks (like a) balloon. He says he is in less pain. He is very sleepy.

Again I get a series of bills I have not budged for. I can scrape by barely.

Caroline may have found an internship. More when it happens.

Ariel is engaged to be married.

Update he is in the ICU with difficulty breathing due to bilateral pneumonia. This is the worst shape he is in since November 2022.

    Thought you should know.

  • GOOD NEWS

The fever has broken. That’s back to normal. They are working on the multiple infections. He is still lethargic but that is normal considering what his body is going through.

Due to his inability to cough or clear his throat, he is temporarily on a ventilator. His color is much better and he is moving his limbs which is a good sign.

He is under light sedation to keep him from fighting the tube down his throat.

  • Apparently Peter David died yesterday.  My best wishes to family and friends.
