I was watching the Savage/Warrior "retirement" match on disk last night, and it came to the ending where Elizabeth threw Sherri out of the ring, and the thought came to me, "Both of these women are dead now, it's depressing."

Hulk Hogan Booed I didn't see it live, but I've seen excerpts from it on-line, and it seems that Hulk Hogan got, shall we say, a "mixed" (at best) reaction when he made an appearance on Monday Night RAW last night, touting the show's debut epsiode on Netflix, after having been on the USA Network for decades, as well as promoting his "Real American" brand beer, which will no doubt storm the nation the same way that Ric Flair's "Wooooo!" brand mushroom-based energy drinks have.
Time was that Hogan couldn't get booed at a WWE event, even when they booked him as a heel after the fall of WCW, but that seems to have changed. There could be a couple of reasons for this - Hogan's racist remarks may still perhaps be fresher in people's minds than the WWE thought they might be, or perhaps a Trump supporter like Hogan was destined to get what wrestling fans call "go away heat" in a relatively "blue" area like Greater Los Angeles, who can say?
Or, it could just be that "Hulkamania" is past its "sell-by" date, at long last. If you think about it, the little kids who were ardent "Hulkamaniacs" back in the 1980's are all in their late 40's and early 50's, now. Alphas, Zoomers and younger Millennials are gonna have to no direct knowledge of Hogan's heyday at all.
Plus the fact that Hogan continues to lie about past events and still wants to be the center of attention rubs people the wrong way. Regardless, Mattel put out a TON of Hulk Hogan figures last year to great success! Nostalgia-Mania is Running Wild!

I didn't start watching wrestling until my college days, right in the run-up to Wrestlemania III, so I never was the little kid who automatically worshipped the babyfaces and despised the heels. Even when he was at the height of his initil babyface run in the WWF, he came across as an egomaniac, and that was years before I knew anything about his behind-the-scenes shenanigans. (If you want a laugh, go to Youtube and type "Hulk Hogan's lies" in the search bar, and see how many results come up.) That said, I did see Hogan wrestle live twice in the old Boston Garden in the mid-eighties, once against Ted Dibiase Sr. and once against Killer Khan, and I have to give him credit - the Hulkster could really get a crowd going back in the day.
The first time I saw Hulk Hogan was in Rocky III (1982) as "Thunderlips". He looked like a special effect! Never knew from his heel days in WWF or his run in AWA. I didn't start watching wrestling until around Wrestlemania I and Hogan was everywhere, in music videoes, MTV and the A-Team!
It has been pointed out that the Undertaker is also a Trump supporter, but did not get booed when nhe appeared, so it seems like more of a personal dislike aimed at Hogan.
