I’m a bigger fan of Sergio Aragones and Mark Evanier individually than I am of their long-running co-creation, but I find Groo pleasant enough to read from time to time. I bought this one for the mix of funny (Aragones) and realistic (Tom Yeates) artwork. In that respect, I was somewhat disappointed. This issue comprises four pages of Tom Yeates’ art work, 15 of Aragones, but only three “jam” pages. Still, Evanier’s assessment of “Who would win?” comic book clashes alone is worth the price of admission.

  • Once again we're on a similar beam, Jeff. And since we share similar sentiments going in, I would probably share your disappointment -- and despite my complete runs of Groo (all publishers) and Conan (Marvel) comics, I probably won't pick this up.
