Busy character actor Bo Hopkins, who played a tough-guy Southern dude in numerous TV shows and movies over a career that spanned five decades, dies of a heart attack.

Somehow, though, he was not a member of what might be called "The Barney Miller Repertory Company", which included Don Calfa, Florence Halop, Richard Libertini, Alex Henteloff, Peggy Pope, Bruce Kirby, Walter Olkewicz, Val Bisoglio, Nehemiah Persoff and others.
