It's been a very, very, very bad week for people in television: "The Waltons and Falcon Crest Creator Earl Hamner Jr. Dead at 92"
The Waltons, of course, is the kind of gentle family drama that would NEVER get on television today. Hamner earned two Emmy Awards for it for writing.
