Yes, I could pull out my copies of Essential Tomb Of Dracula, but I've got enough of a reading list as it is. So I have a slightly odd question about Rachel Van Helsing.
As we all know, Rachel carried a crossbow with wooden arrows to slay Dracula. I was just wondering, what were the arrowheads made from? Silver? Ordinary metal? Some type of wood?
Does anyone know offhand?

According to the Essential Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition Volume 3......what was the question again?
Oh yeah! Now I remember....
Under the entry for Van Helsing, Rachel (a character who deserved a much better fate) sub-section: weapons
Now she could have used bolts laced with silver or dipped in holy water but the most important element was aim. She had to shot a vampire right through the heart!
Hmm...while I'm sure that wooden tipped arrows would pierce flesh given enough momentum, one does wonder whether silver arrowheads would have been a better choice.
Rachel used her wooden arrows as high powered wooden stakes like Blade using his wooden knives back when he was Shaft Among the Vampires!
Once again, having knowledge of wood and it's properties, one wonders if a silver tip would have been a good idea. While it can be sharpened quite a lot, it would likely lose it's edge very, very quickly. Actually, Rachel's bolts make more sense than Blade's knives.
