I've always wanted to do this with the aid of the Marvel Essentials, and now with this website I can. They have even copied out the letters page. :-)

I think the story links at the site are to Marvel's online comics library. Some of the stories in Marvel's library are currently readable by non-members, others you have to join the library to read. If you want to pin the dates down still further, the DC Indexes website has information on the on sale dates of the Marvel comics of the era.
Thanks. The website I mentioned gives reviews and feedback - also trivia (like Stan's original FF #1 script).
The DC Indexes are good too.
Really awesome site, Dandy! Thanks!
Watch out for the surprise listing in entry no. 17 ...
