  • Awww. Brady Bunch was a huge part of my childhood. Sadness.
  • "Gilligan's Island" reruns on the local stations (and then TBS) was a huge part of mine.  Rest in peace.
  • Both shows were big parts of my childhood daydreams. Thanks for the fun and silliness!
  • I am old enough to remember both series in first run.  He touched my life in those formative years.  His legacy runs everyday on television.  Nothing can be greater.
  • Sherwood Schwartz leaves a great legacy in that he showed a whole generation of kids the value of cooperation. The Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island were, at heart, about the need for people to get along. Gilligan's Island, more pointedly, was about putting aside class, status and individual agendas for the common good.

After what we've seen from Washington this week, there are more than a few guys from there I'd like to lock in a room and force to watch a Sherwood Schwartz marathon.
