We used to have a lot of fans of the Smallville television show here (until most of them abandoned this board for a social networking site which shall remain nameless), but are there any fans of the show left here who bought the first issue of the new Smallville: Season 11 comic book yesterday? I did. I liked it well enough (although not as much as the new Earth 2 and World’s Finest titles in the “DCnU 52” which also shipped yesterday). To be honest, the Smallville TV show had grown a bit stale for me toward the end and I was, quite frankly, ready for it to come to an end, but issue #1 of “Season 11” has breathed new life into this universe. I’ve been reading of increasing dissatisfaction with the DC’s “New 52” on this board. Perhaps this title could become the new one-stop shop for DC super-heroics? Besides, now that the story has made the jump to the printed page, perhaps we’ll finally be treated to the long-anticipated-but-never-realized introduction of Bruce Wayne/Batman into the Smallville mythos.
