I thought it might be useful to have a thread for all the smaller comic book shows we attend. I went to the Charlotte Comicon today, a one day show that has been happening quarterly for many years. They had a really big crowd today, probably the best attended one I've been to. I picked up a few interesting things: Glamourpuss #1 (Comics & Fashion editions); Baker Street: Honour Among Punks by Guy Davis & Gary Reed (collects the first 5 issues of the series); and Back Issue No. 57 (which features a Jenette Kahn interview, and a history of Vertigo).
I was wearing my new Mr. Vertigo T-shirt, which promotes my blog, and I handed out several business cards. I've found people are more likely to visit the blog if they have a physical reminder. Michael Eury was there to promote Back Issue, so that issue only cost two bucks. Nice guy: we had a long chat about lots of things, including the Twilight Zone, which we both love.
