OK, I've griped a lot about DC and how it seems to shun females (creators, fans, characters), but this is a big step in the right direction. I look forward to what Christy Marx will do with the character.

  • Now, if only LEGO would make some mini-figs of the female Lord of the Rings characters.  Hey, I've got three fan-girl daughters!

And Cartoon Network just announced that Teen Titans Go! is coming back with new full-length episodes in 2013.  They are working really hard to make me happy today.

  • Aw, yeah! (to both!)

  • Doesn't look like my kind of thing, but I've been throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks lately. And that cover is awesome! I've always heard about Amethyst, so I'll give it the one-shot try.

  • It might be more to your taste than you think -- the book's called Sword of Sorcery, and there'll be a backup staring Beowulf. I'm very glad DC is dipping its toes back into the fantasy genre. Along with the war and western book, and the plentiful horror books, this is a pretty great time to be a DC fan that likes the edges of the universe. Next up, an Adam Strange-led sci-fi book, I hope!

  • Interesting. Like I said, I hope it sticks. They're doing a good job of thinking outside the box here. And yeah, I'd be all over that Adam Strange book.
