Jason Johnson is a tenured associate professor in the School of Global Journalism and Communication at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a frequent guest and sometime guest host on MSNBC.
Why do we care? Because he's a huuuuuuuge nerd! Our kind of nerd!
I've noticed before on his guest appearances that there's often a lot of genre knick-knacks in the background behind him. But this week has been exceptionally boffo.
On Wednesday, May 3, he was standing in front of a shelf chockablock with John Stewart stuff. Action figures, books and Green Lantern (second series) #87 (first John Stewart appearance).
On Thursday, May 4, the bookshelf is filled with (appropriately, on May the Fourth) Lando Calrissian stuff.
Somebody grabbed a photo of the John Stewart day (and note Hip Hop Family Tree):
I don't have anything to add, except yay!

I saw the same background when he was commenting on MSNBC. Flying the Geek Flag!
