Three of a Kind

I was looking through some old comics when I thought of a new game. I call it Three of a Kind. Here's my first entry.

I found a number of "reflected in glasses" covers ages ago, but never got round to deciding which three to post.  Jeff has picked three featuring a humourous hero, a Marvel hero, and Batman.  I guess I'll do the same...

Speaking of which, here's a follow-up (story) to a comment Cap made about photo-covers a couple of days ago. I don't like them much, either, but one day I went to my grandma's house to find she had bought me a comic book (Superman #289). When I asked her why that particular one, she said she liked the cover. So that cover, at least, did its job (at least as far as my grandmother was concerned).

I've wanted to post a three of a kind heroes trapped in orange "monster" bodies for a while. Really just an excuse to feature my 2 favourite characters. Finally found a third, Defenders came and went during my 25 year break from comics so I wasn't aware of the new Gargoyle until recently. That's a clue to who my 2 favourites are. One of my favourite creators also featured, I thought it was time to give Kirby a rest.
