I purchase two kind of " modern-day undergrounds " recently , one a conventional-sized comic book with 28 regular pages in b&w and covers of the same stock with outside color , the other an album-sized paperback book in B&W with a slick cover .

What appeared to be titled either " FREE " or " FREE STOOGES " was the comic book , an anthology of modern-style undergroundish/" alternative "-y strips & pieces by various , not-famous , creators . IIRC it bore an 971 area code on it , the only address marker upon it . (Portland , OR.)

The album was REAL GOOD STUFF #1&2 (Packaged as a flip book , so a double cover .) . It was autobiographical comics , written by Dennis Eichorn , who was behing the 1990s REAL STUFF ! series and more . It contained pictoral content that would put it in " full/triple-X " , which Free did not .

Later on after buying and reading it , I looked up Eichorn ~ and saw that he had passed away in 2015 .

Were either of these Diamond-distributed ? I didn't buy either at an LCS .
