I receive ham from Heritage Auctions , listing their comics stuff ~ Well , most recently , I received on which had news of a comics character ~ an SA one ~ being sold outright .
AND his domain name !!!!!!!!!!!
Since this is a SA character , it belongs here , even if - sniff - MSA maybe doesn't like me too much now .
The Charlton character Mercury Man , who had two stories published in two issues of SPACE ADVENTURES in 1962 (Above is the present site for him , which reprints the first story , in b&w , quite attractively - if not from original from original proof sheets/whatevah :-) ?) is being sold by his present owners , with Heritage handling the auction .
The auction is scheduled for April 4 .
The most recent bid up (It's a little complicated to put the site that links from my Heritage ham , and , funny enough , when I went to the Heritage site~ http://www.HA.com ~ searching for " Mercury Man " got me nothing but a Belgian poster for a 1960s Clint Eastwood movie .) is $1,500 , which with Buyer's Premium comes to $1,725 . The required next bid is $1,600 .
