DC DELIVERS BIG NEWS TO RETAILERS AT COMICSPRO, REVEALING PUBLISHING PLANS FOR SUMMER AND FALL OF 2026
New Absolute Universe Series Announced, DC Next Level Expands with Teen Titans, and Gotham Faces “BAD SEEDS” in a Major Q3 Event
BURBANK, Calif., February 19, 2026 — Today at ComicsPro in Glendale, CA, DC thanked Direct Market comic book retailers for their support throughout 2025 and unveiled new details about the publisher’s 2026 comic book lineup. DC’s presentation highlighted the next wave of DC Vertigo titles, a new event miniseries coming in the Absolute Universe, major additions to DC Next Level, and a first look at a Gotham City event arriving later this year.
DC Vertigo Continues Its 2026 Rollout
Following the successful launch of Bleeding Hearts, End of Life, and The Nice House by the Sea—with The Peril of the Brutal Dark: An Ezra Cain Mystery launching February 25—DC shared updates on the forthcoming slate of DC Vertigo titles arriving throughout 2026. Beginning this summer, Vertigo will publish 100 Bullets: The US of ANGER and Fanatic, followed in the fall by Necretatious and Black Tower: The Raven Conspiracy. Winter 2026 will see the arrival of The Crying Doll and A Walking Shadow, rounding out the imprint’s first full year of its return.
DC Absolute Universe Expands with Green Arrow and Catwoman, Plus a Tease of the First Absolute Event Mini-Series
DC announced two new series set in the Absolute Universe: Absolute Green Arrow by Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuquerque, launching May 20, and Absolute Catwoman by Che Grayson, Scott Snyder, and Bengal, launching June 10. Both titles continue the imprint’s mission to reimagine iconic DC characters in bold, continuity-free stories from top creators.
DC also teased that the first Absolute Universe event miniseries will arrive in Q4 2026, with additional details to be revealed later this year.

DC Next Level Reveals Teen Titans and More for Summer 2026
Retailers were shown a new trailer for DC Next Level, highlighting the initiative’s rollout through the first half of the year. Lobo #1, Batwoman #1, and Deathstroke: The Terminator #1 will all launch on March 18, followed by The Fury of Firestorm #1 on April 8 and Zatanna #1 on April 29.
DC then spotlighted two newly announced Next Level titles arriving this summer: Barbara Gordon: Breakout by Mariko Tamaki and Amancay Nahuelpan in May, and The Deadman by W. Maxwell Prince and Martín Morazzo in June.
Barbara Gordon: Breakout #1 main cover by Karl Kerschl
The Deadman #1 main cover by Martín Morazzo and Chris O’Halloran
Retailers were also provided a look at DC’s upcoming slate of Next Level titles ahead of solicitation, including Legion of Super-Heroes, Doom Patrol, Jonah Hex, The Demon, and Batman: Shadow of the Bat. Creative teams and launch dates will be announced soon.
DC’s ComicsPro presentation further revealed the next major Next Level series: Teen Titans, launching this summer from Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo, the acclaimed team behind Power Rangers: Shattered Grid. In Teen Titans, Red Hood uncovers a network of missing powered teens and reluctantly joins forces with a new generation of plugged-in, hyper-capable young heroes to find them and expose the lie dividing their world.

Gotham Faces “BAD SEEDS” in a Major Q3 Event
DC closed its publishing announcements with a first look at “BAD SEEDS”, a Gotham City event arriving in Q3 2026. Gotham City police commissioner Vandal Savage has declared war on the Bat-Family and flooded the streets with his private, para-militarized police army. Gotham's new mayor, Pamela Isley, deserted by her allies both political and arcane, is about to make a last-ditch power play that will leave all of Gotham decimated by daylight.
These events converge in “BAD SEEDS”, spanning a long, dark night in Gotham that threatens to turn the entire city into a primeval world of hostile plant life unlike anything on Earth for millennia, at a time when its greatest heroes are hunted and in hiding. More details on “BAD SEEDS” will be shared in the months ahead.

Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
To conclude the presentation, DC reminded retailers that 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. DC shared an overview of the publishing program and products planned throughout the year to celebrate Frank Miller, Klaus Janson and Lynn Varley’s landmark series.

DC CELEBRATES THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF FRANK MILLER AND KLAUS JANSON’S BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS
A Landmark Year of Events, New Editions, Variant Covers, and Global Activations Honors One of the Most Influential Works in the Comic Book Medium

A young soprano, Christine, finds her career in chaos after a series of violent crimes plagues the Paris Opera House. But the show must go on, and Christine will discover that no one – especially the mysterious voice whispering from the eaves – is what they seem. As an old friend returns to investigate these surprising attacks, Christine will discover her connection to the truth and the man known as... PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
In addition to the 1:10 incentive connecting variant cover by Anwita Citriya, Universal Monsters: Phantom of the Opera #1 has a main cover by Martin Simmonds, an open to order variant and a 1:25 incentive “classic horror” cover by Joshua Middleton (Aquaman), a 1:50 incentive cover by Rosemary Valero-O’Connell (Lumberjanes), a 1:75 incentive cover by David Talaski (Batgirl), a 1:100 foil incentive cover by Baldemar Rivas (Unearth), a blank sketch cover, and a mask cover by Andrea Milana (Void Rivals) and Andres Juarez.

CRITICALLY-ACCLAIMED COMIC BOOK/VIDEO GAME WRITER WILLIAM HARMS TEAMS WITH FAN-FAVORITE ARTIST JP MAVINGA FOR WHITE SKY SERIES LAUNCH NEXT MONTH
The debut issue of the series will also feature a variant cover by award winning animation artist Eliza Ivanova (Cars 2, Brave, Inside Out, Coco).
Five years ago, the sky went white and the world ended. Now Violet and her father, David, are driven from hiding and forced to cross what’s left of America toward the shattered ruins of San Francisco, chasing a rumor of refuge. But in a land haunted by the dead, nowhere is safe for the living.
"When we face impossible challenges and incomprehensible monsters, sometimes, the only source of courage we have are the ones who won't abandon us, our loved ones and our family," said Mavinga. "Beyond trying to draw an interesting visual spectacle, for me, every page is just the story of one small family trying to survive."
Harms added: "I’ve always been a fan of ghost stories, so I thought, what if the entire world was haunted? That was the genesis for White Sky, and since then it’s turned into a deeply personal story about a man and his daughter trying to survive in that world.”
An epic, apocalyptic survival story perfect for fans of The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, and 28 Days Later.
White Sky #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, February 18.

The Special Anniversary Issue of Larry Hama’s Blockbuster Series Arrive in February
"The new 'A Real American Hero' has just been another level of awesome, just like reading it off the spinner rack back in the day. This comic hasn't missed a beat." – Nerd Initiative
Two new Joes make their FIRST APPEARANCE as Duke and Roadblock lead a dangerous cover op into Borovia.
“Larry Hama and Chris Mooneyham launched G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #301 at Skybound over two years ago, and for our milestone 325th issue, they’re thrilled to introduce two brand-new Joes—DOWNRANGE and R.C.!” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound.
“The real battle in warfare is technological and tactical,” said Larry Hama. “Recent advances and innovations have made the ‘old way’ untenable, so I felt compelled to create two new Joes to counter these deficiencies. ‘R.C.,’ file name Hector M. He hails from Boyle Heights in East LA, and he is to unmanned remote-control aircraft and land robotics what Roadblock is to the Ma-Deuce. ‘DOWN RANGE,' file name Hillevi S. Väisänen, is the SCOUT SNIPER. Daughter of a legendary hunting guide from Redwing, MN, it has been said that she can split a Popsicle™ stick at 200 yards with iron sights on a National Match M-21 in 7.62 NATO.”
Issue #325 features a main cover by Andy Kubert (X-Men) and colorist Laura Martin (Thor), an open-to-order variant cover with a black and white version of Kubert’s main cover, the continuation of the 1:10 incentive Gears of Joe cover series by Steve Beach (Black Panther), an anniversary wraparaound cover by iconic G.I. JOE artist Rod Whigham and colorist Mike Spicer (TRANSFORMERS), an open-to-order variant featuring the two new Joes by Chris Mooneyham, and a first-of-its-kind blank sketch file card cover to round out the lineup.

JOE by writer Joshua Williamson (Superman, Dark Ride) and artist Tom Reilly(Duke).

DISNEY'S DUCKTALES GETS ROMANTIC FOR VALENTINE'S DAY

FAN-FAVORITE SERIES KILL 6 BILLION DEMONS RETURNS WITH FIFTH VOLUME THIS SPRING
In the fifth chapter of this series—adapted for print from the successful webcomic Kill 6 Billion Demons—sorority sister Allison Ruth has seen it all. Ripped away from her comfortable and mundane life to Throne—the multiversal metropolis at the center of all worlds—she has been unwittingly swept up in an ancient feud between tyrannical god-kings and become the host of a power she can neither understand nor control. She has broken into the grand palace of the Blood Flower, plunged the depths of the vault of the grand dragon Mammon, and fought tooth-and-nail in god-emperor Solomon's interdimensional martial arts tournament.
But now the sky is aflame and the most powerful demiurge, Jagganoth, the Wheel Turning King, has returned with his swords unsheathed, and the simmering anger between the rulers of the Red City threatens to boil over into all out war. A war Allison may not survive.
This beloved webcomic series also has a RPG tie-in by Parkinson-Morgan and an ever-expanding universe of characters and lore. Kill 6 Billion Demons blends heavy metal influences with French fantasy comics’ style, similar to Daniel Warren Johnson's Do a Powerbomb and Extremity, and is perfect read for fans of World of Warcraft, Magic the Gathering, Final Fantasy, and Dungeons & Dragons. The series has built a cult following online through a top Patreon campaign before being published by Image Comics.
Kill 6 Billion Demons, Volume 5: Breaker of Infinities (ISBN 9781534335820, Lunar Code 1225IM0456) will be available at local comic book shops on Wednesday, February 4 and independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Waterstones on Tuesday, March 10.

DC’s Wildest Crossover Ever: DC K.O: Boss Battle #1 Brings Homelander, Sub-Zero, Red Sonja, Vampirella, and Annabelle into the Fight… plus Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Samantha Strong!
DC is leveling up the multiverse on February 4 with DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1, a high‑octane one‑shot from writer Jeremy Adams and artists Ronan Cliquet, Carmine Di Giandomenico, Kieran McKeown, Pablo M. Collar, and Hi-Fi. Arriving ahead of the explosive final phase of the DC K.O. event, this special issue throws DC’s greatest Super Heroes into a gauntlet of unexpected challengers from across comics, horror, fantasy, and gaming.

For the first time ever, DC Super Heroes will face off against icons including Sub-Zero (Netherrealm), Homelander, Red Sonja and Vampirella (Dynamite), Samantha Strong (IDW), and even New Line Cinema’s Annabelle, the infamous horror doll. And in a surprise twist, DC today revealed that Sabrina the Teenage Witch (Archie Comics) will make a cameo appearance!
DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 preview pages
“Patrick Horvath created an incredibly complicated and frankly, scary, character with Samantha Strong,” shared Jeremy Adams. “I feel lucky to be able to pit this serial-killer bear from IDW’s Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees against the greatest criminal mind of our time, Lex Luthor. Especially because Lex has no idea who it is he's stumbled upon. And, having written four animated Mortal Kombat movies, I jumped at the chance to write more of the Netherrealm world, especially for comics. These characters hold a place dear to my heart as I've had the chance to interact with a huge swath of their fandom, their creators, and the MK universe as a whole!”
In DC K.O.: Boss Battle, the heroes of the DC Universe are running out of time, and don’t have enough Omega Energy to enter the final battles. To stop Darkseid’s escalating threat, they must enter a series of escalating boss fights across the multiverse, each more unpredictable than the last. Every encounter pushes them closer to the edge, and failing to level up means certain failure in the final DC K.O. contestant brackets!
DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 preview pages
“DC K.O.: Boss Battle held surprises for me, too,” said Adams. “I never anticipated that I’d be writing ‘Welcome to Greendale!’ in a DC comic! Home of our favorite teenage witch who volunteers to "help" Star Sapphire in the Boss Battle. This was a bright spot to put together in the midst of the over-arching chaos of the issue. I found myself really enjoying the brief moments with Sabrina. And Homelander vs Superman! The biggest A-hole in pop culture right now fighting the big blue boy scout? Come on! My only regret is that I didn’t have *more* pages to show these guys punch and kick…and for Superman to tell Homelander to shut his potty mouth before launching him into the sun!”
DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 arrives on February 4 at participating comic shops and digital retailers with a main cover by Jamal Campbell and card stock variant covers by Jeff Spokes, Darick Robertson & Diego Rodriguez (featuring Homelander), Patrick Horvath (featuring Samantha Strong), Frank Cho & Sabine Rich (featuring Vampirella, Red Sonja, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch), and Gleb Melnikov (AEW cameo variant). Jeff Spokes’ variant cover will be available as an OTO wraparound in both card stock and foil. DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 will retail for $4.99 US (main), $5.99 US (card stock variants), and $7.99 US (foil variant).

DC UNVEILS FOUR NEW VARIANT COVERS FOR UPCOMING VERTIGO TITLES
Vertigo's highly anticipated relaunch will come with a wave of open-to-order variant covers by the artists behind the best-selling Absolute Universe titles!
DC has revealed four new variant covers for its upcoming DC Vertigo titles launching this February, each illustrated by artists from the publisher’s acclaimed Absolute line. As DC prepares to reintroduce Vertigo with a slate of genre-driven series, these covers serve as a bridge between two of the publisher’s most celebrated imprints, bringing the creative firepower behind Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Superman, and Absolute Martian Manhunter to the first wave of Vertigo launches.
Javier Rodríguez lends his signature atmosphere to The Nice House by the Sea #7, while Nick Dragotta brings bold, expressive energy to his variant cover for Bleeding Hearts #1.
Rafa Sandoval adds dramatic intensity to his cover for End of Life #1, and Hayden Sherman delivers a stark, experimental vision for their The Peril of the Brutal Dark #1 variant, offering fans of the Absolute line a fresh entry point into Vertigo’s return.
The new DC Vertigo slate begins rolling out in February 2026, with The Nice House by the Sea #7 leading the charge on February 4, followed by Bleeding Hearts #1 on February 11, End of Life #1 on February 18, and The Peril of the Brutal Dark #1 on February 25. Additional Vertigo titles will continue to arrive throughout 2026 as the imprint reestablishes itself as a home for creator-owned work that isn’t afraid to take risks or push the medium forward.
True to its legacy, the new Vertigo line is built around bold voices and boundary-breaking storytelling. These are comics that challenge expectations, embrace genre in all its forms, and refuse to play it safe.

PORTLAND, Ore. 12/16/2025 — Brand-spanking-new 6x9 trim size paperback formats of the internationally bestselling Queer romance—Sunstone created by Stjepan Šejić (Death Vigil, Ravine, Aphrodite IX, Witchblade)—will launch in time for Valentine's Day 2026 from Image/Top Cow Productions and feature cheeky new covers by Šejić. These redesigned editions of Sunstone will begin with Volume 1 in February 2026 with the rest of the spicy series rolling out the remainder of the year.
The series will continue to be offered in standard trade paperbacks, deluxe hardcovers, and compendium editions, as well as in digital formats—providing readers with a range of options to suit every preference.
Celebrated worldwide for its humor, emotional honesty, and deeply authentic portrayal of relationships, Sunstone has evolved from a personal webcomic into a global phenomenon.
“I have been endlessly inspired by the Sunstone community, whose love, support, and engagement with the characters continue to fuel my creativity. Hearing how these stories have offered comfort or connection is one of the greatest honors of my career,” said Šejić, reflecting on the connection fans have forged with Lisa and Ally’s story. “The 6 x 9 edition feels like a natural extension of the hand while reading—perfectly suited to a story grounded in vulnerability and intimate human connection.”
Top Cow CEO and Image Comics co-founder Marc Silvestri (The Darkness, Witchblade, Cyber Force, Batman) echoed that sentiment, praising Šejić’s unique ability to combine heartfelt emotion with wit, charm, and sensuality: “Stjepan’s storytelling is extraordinary. Sunstone perfectly balances intimacy, humor, and passion—stories that hook you, resonate, and linger. Bringing this series to a sleek, collectible new format allows more readers to experience these characters and feel connected. I’m behind it 100%.”
Lisa’s tastes were always...unique. Longing to be restrained, without restraint. Lisa always felt like something was missing from her love life—until she met Ally. Ally was implacably ordinary—successful job, nice house, an average childhood—except for her preference for bedroom domination. Originally posted online as a webcomic, this book collects the first volume of the often erotic, always amusing, and surprisingly heartfelt Sunstone.

Each issue of GODZILLA: INFINITY ROAR, the new comic series from Marvel and Toho International launching in February, will feature a COSMIC VARIANT COVER depicting epic showdowns between spacefaring characters of the Marvel Universe and towering monsters from the Godzilla universe.
New York, NY— December 15, 2025 — This February, the stars quake before the King of Monsters in GODZILLA: INFINITY ROAR, the latest crossover comic book series from Marvel Comics and Toho International. The series follows Godzilla’s defeat at the hands of Marvel’s pantheon of super heroes in Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, which concluded last month. Exiled to a distant planet, Godzilla is reawakened by Knull, the God of Symbiotes! As Knull fans the flames of Godzilla’s anger, a new campaign for galactic conquest begins with the King of the Monsters and the King in Black at the helm! Will the cosmos be able to band together to stop the two juggernauts, or will a new era of death and destruction descend upon the cosmos?
In anticipation of Godzilla’s intergalactic rampage, the new COSMIC VARIANT COVERS spotlight different Marvel cosmic icons battling monsters from Godzilla’s universe. The jaw dropping pieces are drawn by some of the industry’s most acclaimed artists including Paulo Siqueira, Junggeun Yoon, Dave Rapoza, E.J. Su, and Mark Brooks. Continuing the tradition of these epic crossover sagas, these covers are sure to ignite the imagination of both Marvel and Godzilla fans.

Well, the Marvel heroes tried to handle the problem ethically, but they only made the crisis worse by exiling Godzilla in space for a bad actor like Knull to take advantage of. ARIO ANINDITO TOUGHENS UP MARVEL HEROES IN NEW HELL'S KITCHEN VARIANT COVERS
This February, new HELL’S KITCHEN VARIANT COVERS envision Marvel heroes in the dark world of Punisher.
New York, NY— December 12, 2025 — The Punisher’s brutal brand of justice makes heroes across the Marvel Universe uneasy, but what if they followed in his footsteps? This February, acclaimed artist Ario Anindito (Star Wars: The High Republic) imagines a world where Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, and more embraced Frank Castle’s methods in HELL’S KITCHEN VARIANT COVERS. The new variant cover collection arrives just in time for the launch of the new PUNISHER ongoing series by Benjamin Percy and Jose Luis Soares where the character ignites his latest war against organized crime while searching for answers about his missing memories.
The art pieces gave Anindito a chance to design new costumes inspired by Punisher’s classic costume, replacing the iconic skull with emblems reflecting the individual heroes.
"I was really excited and honored when Marvel asked me to do the HELL'S KITCHEN cover program!” Anindito shared. “It’s such a cool chance to dive deeper into the characters and give them a darker vibe, designing a gritty look and adding a badass tactical goth-rocker twist. These characters are already iconic, so it’s definitely a challenge, but also really fun to do. I drew inspirations from re-reading the Punisher MAX series and re-watching the '98 Blade movie. Let’s just say these HELL'S KITCHEN versions are the last ones you’d want to mess with!"

BREAKING NEWS: Dark Horse Comics to Publish URI TUPKA AND THE GODS by Legendary Cartoonist Mike Mignola
The Follow-up to the Critically Acclaimed BOWLING WITH CORPSES Graphic Novel Arrives February 2026
"This is some of the most fun I’ve ever had drawing comics." — Mike Mignola
Uri Tupka and the Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown
Uri Tupka and The Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown follows the titular wayward theologian across the Lands Unknown on a quest to prove that ancient powerful gods shaped the world. Uri’s journey puts him face to face with mythical creatures, thieves, dragons, and a tomb of unspeakable horror. But nothing can prepare the unlikely adventurer for what he learns about the universe or his role in it.
“This is the first of two books tracing the life of Uri Tupka, former Doctor of Theology but now heretic, on the run as he looks for the truth about the gods,” explains Mignola. “See Uri barely escape one disaster after another—pirates, bandits, witches and demons, giants and monsters. There is also a talking cat and a queen of the vegetables because, of course, why wouldn’t there be? This one covers a whole lot of ground, and we get to see more of the world that was introduced in Bowling with Corpses. As with Bowling, this is some of the most fun I’ve ever had drawing comics. The more I wander around in this world, the more I want to see, the more I want to explore. I’m already well into the follow up book to this one (Uri Tupka and the Devils) with plans to do many more stories about this world. I feel that so far I’m still just scratching at the surface of this thing.”
Here’s what people are saying about
Bowling With Corpses and Other Strange Tales From Lands Unknown:
“Mignola is justly celebrated as a visual stylist, not just of horror comics but of comics writ large. While another artist might rely on grotesque specifics to frighten the reader, Mignola’s insinuating expanses of black ink conceal all but the most necessary details of a rich and malevolent world, filled with monstrosities, yes, but also oddities, many of them delightful…. This book is a good reminder that the history of imaginative literature is also the history of illustrated literature.” — NEW YORK TIMES BOOK REVIEW
“Bowling with Corpses and Other Strange Tales from Lands Unknown is a delightful anthology that showcases Mignola’s storytelling and artistic brilliance while introducing a strange and compelling new universe.” — AIPT COMICS
“Deliciously macabre.” — FORBES
“Creepy.” — THE NERDIST
“Mike Mignola carved out his space in comics history in the 1990s with the creation of the iconic Hellboy series. Dozens of novels and hundreds of projects later, he has created a new world as epic and expansive as his breakthrough touchstone. Lands Unknown, a world built on folktales from across the globe, finds new life in the dark, strange corners of Mignola’s imagination, created with frequent collaborator Ben Stenbeck.” — PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
“Visually stunning and eerily evocative.” — GAME RADAR
“The stories contained within Bowling with Corpses present masterful designs, distinctive style, and an assured appreciation for storytelling in forms new and old… Wherever these lands may lead readers, they can rest assured that wonders await them on each new page.” — CBR
“Mignola’s style lends itself well to the concept of creepy folk tales, and there are some really stunning visuals that bring it all to life: a woman rising from a blood-filled casket; a man following a floating dagger through a forest bathed in red; a newly transformed creature of the night spreading her wings for the first time. The book contains eight stories across its 112 pages (and a promise for more to come!), so there’s plenty of good stuff to sink your teeth into.” — ENGADGET
“A stunning book that begs multiple readings, perhaps as soon as you’ve set it down.” — COMICS BEAT
“Mike Mignola is back, and this time, the Hellboy creator is inviting us into a wholly new universe of eerie, whimsical, and darkly enchanting folktales. Mignola's Bowling With Corpses and Other Strange Tales From Lands Unknown introduces a fantasy world bursting with gods, monsters, unfortunates, and much mischief…. With gorgeous artwork by Mignola, colors by the incomparable Dave Stewart, and letters by Clem Robins, Bowling With Corpses feels like a culmination of everything that makes Mignola's work so unique and enchanting…. For those of us who've marveled at Mignola's ability to create mythic worlds from a few inked lines and pregnant, ominous shadows, Bowling With Corpses is more than a new book—it's a portal into a realm where the strange turns familiar and the familiar seems strange.” — BOING BOING
“Mike Mignola redefined how comics can be made, what they should look like and what they can be with Hellboy. Now, 30 years on the artist's new shared universe, Bowling With Corpses and Other Strange Tales From Lands Unknown, is set to shake things up all over again.” — CREATIVE BLOQ
“Fans of the grim and macabre (and Hellboy, obviously) will eat this collection right up.” — BOOK RIOT
“Bowling With Corpses & Other Strange Tales from Lands Unknown is yet another stellar entry in the Mignola library.” — MONKEYS FIGHTING ROBOTS
“Folktales from all over the globe are presented here in Mignola's signature style.” — GEEK DAD
“This book is raw and visceral… If you were already a Mignola fan, you’re in for a treat, and if you’re new, there’s something in this anthology that will either raise the hairs on the back of your neck or put a smile on your face. Or both.” — COMIC BUZZ
“Mike Mignola is a veritable fountain of ideas that inevitably find their way into great comics.” - GEEK VIBES NATION
“Sorcerers, pirates, and devils, oh my!” — COMIC BOOK COUPLES COUNSELING
“These stories have the aura of fairy tales and, in many ways, this is Mignola’s Grimms’ Fairy Tales… This is some of Mignola’s best work, and it reminds me of the excitement I felt when I discovered Hellboy for the first time. … All fans of Mignola and dark fantasy should pick this up.”— FANBASE PRESS
“Unlike someone like Walt Disney (the man, and eventually the company), Mignola isn't looking to modernize these old pieces of folklore and fairy tales - he wants to peel back the layers closer to the roots:” — POPVERSE
“Mike Mignola is a name that shouldn’t need much of an introduction. The creator of the household name, “Hellboy” and someone whose work has been seen across other such properties like “Bram Stoker’s Dracula,” Mignola has long been one of the most exciting creators working in comics today. Mignola could easily rest on the laurels of his previous hits, but that’s no fun now is it? Instead, Mignola is teaming up with acclaimed artist Ben Stenbeck to craft an all-new fictional universe for readers” — MACABRE DAILY
“...It's knowing wit, sense of time and place, characterisation and beguiling evocation of time-honoured (yet subverted) folklore a winning formula…” — TRIPWIRE
“Mignola builds a brand-new world filled with the weird, wicked and whimsical in this volume that will delight longtime Hellboy fans and new readers alike.”— UN COMIC MAS
“The artwork, alien and disturbing as it is at times, is wonderfully weird.” — KABOOOOOM
"This is a world I’m terrified to live in, mostly because I know I’d never want to leave.” — Patton Oswalt (Minor Threats)
“I wish I could write a love letter to this dark enchantment of a book, whose pages are filled with all that I adore most: the human and the supernatural, colliding in tales of wisdom, humor, and quiet longing — as well as the most sumptuous art that a heart could hope to feast on.” — Marjorie Liu (Monstress)
“Gorgeous and mysterious art. Fantastic and funny storytelling. Delightfully dark and whimsical. Mignola has done it again. Behold the glorious glory in this magical book of tales!!!” — Jorge R. Gutierrez (The Book of Life)
“This new folklore from Mike Mignola is somehow human, wild, brilliant, dark, delightful and terrifying all at once!”— Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe)
“What a treasure trove! When it comes to folktales, there are quests within quests and worlds beyond worlds, and some artists' palettes are vast enough to find them all. When Mike Mignola says "Come with me. Let me show you the world..." you follow.” — Glen David Gold, (Carter Beats The Devil)
“This isn't just a new story by Mike Mignola. We're being presented to an entire new World, a charming, complex, magical world, where from every corner comes a handful of inspiring new characters. If you weren't there the moment Mignola revolutionized comics creating Hellboy, this is your chance to get onboard, because he's about to start a brand new revolution.” — Fábio Moon (Daytripper)
“How is it that Mike Mignola just gets better and better? Well he's always been great, but damn if he doesn't just go and bring more incredible tales to life (or death in some cases.) Mike’s stories are those that you want to read over and over, and this subtle and seductive collection is yet another triumph by this modern master. I really want to taste the tiny cow's cheese, know more of Una the pirate and fear long dead Rooski and his still beating blood filled heart! So buy your own copy, I'm not loaning out mine. I'm really not!” — Kelley Jones (Dracula Volume 1: The Impaler)
“Genuinely, reading this was such a gift. There is a richness of line and depth of story to Mignola's work that transforms it from pictures and words into something almost mythical. Even the wicked are treated with an understanding and empathy in the work, which makes them both more beautiful and more tragic. Reading this felt like being a kid again and discovering fairy tales for the first time. Truly, Mignola is a trailblazer of his own subgenre of weird fiction, and we the readers are lucky to witness him reveal the wonder and terror of his imagination.”— Vita Ayala (Submerged, New Mutants, Static)
“Mignola makes the magical craft of creating worlds and strange creatures look effortless and visually stunning. These short stories offer a glimpse into the boundless creativity of an artist who passionately understands and harnesses the storytelling power of the medium. It's impossible to read these tales without feeling a deep longing for more.” — Gabriel Bá (Umbrella Academy)
“I’m a huge fan of all things Mignola, so when a new project by him surfaces, it’s a must-have. His latest graphic novel is delightfully quirky magic. I read it from cover to cover and the smile never left my face. As a matter of fact, it’s still there.”— Bill Sienkiewicz (Elektra: Assassin)
“Minimum detail for maximum intensity. That's what I've always admired in Mike Mignola's work, and with this new mesmerizing series of tales, he's taken another huge step on his road to pure and powerful minimalism.”—Elsa Charretier (Love Everlasting)
"With Bowling with Corpses, Mike Mignola reminds us once more of his storytelling genius. A boy's adventure, told with an understated humour, dripping with a sense of the macabre. It is immediately magnetic in the way that only Mignola's comics are." — Ram V (The Many Deaths of Laila Starr)
“This is Mignola at his very best! From start to finish it had me by the throat!”— Rodney Barnes (Killadelphia)
“This world, these stories, this art — I want to live in these pages.”— Stephen Graham Jones (The Only Good Indians)
Uri Tupka and the Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown is a 104-page hardcover that will be released in bookstores and comic shops on February 24, 2026.

NEW HORROR SERIES BASED UPON CLASSIC H.P. LOVECRAFT SPINE TINGLER THE THING ON THE DOORSTEP TO LAUNCH FEBRUARY 2026
PORTLAND, Ore. 11/25/2025 — Award-winning writer Simon Birks (Antarctica, One More Year, The Shadow Over Innsmouth) and acclaimed artist Willi Roberts (Antarctica, The Dark, The Blood Below) join letterer Rob Jones (Hitomi, Skulduggery Pleasant) to bring to life a chilling new series titled, The Thing on the Doorstep. This five issue miniseries is based upon the classic tale of the same name by H.P. Lovecraft and will hit shelves from Image/Top Cow in February 2026.
The Thing on the Doorstep draws readers into the shadowed labyrinth of friendship warped by forces not meant for human witness. Daniel Upton and Edward Derby have been bound together since youth—until the day Daniel puts a bullet in his closest companion within the bleak walls of Arkham Sanitarium. Though all evidence damns him, Daniel claims innocence, hinting at horrors that mock reason itself. Within these pages, readers uncover the terrible truth: the birth of a doomed relationship and Edward Derby’s gradual surrender to realms of dread that lie just beyond the fragile veil.
“I’m thrilled to bring The Thing on the Doorstep to life with Top Cow and Image Comics,” said Birks. “Lovecraft’s original tale has always fascinated me, and in adapting it, I wanted to explore not only the classic cosmic horror but also the human relationships and psychological tension beneath it. This story delves deeper into the characters and adds a whole new dimension to Lovecraft’s mythos—one that I think both longtime fans and new readers will truly appreciate.”
Marc Silvestri—of The Darkness, Witchblade, and Batman: The Deadly Duo fame, and Image Comics and Top Cow CEO—added: “Simon Birks has an incredible ability to craft tension and emotion in equal measure. His writing pulls you in and doesn’t let go. We’ve been fans of his storytelling for a long time, and I’m confident readers are going to love what he’s done with The Thing on the Doorstep. It’s haunting, heartfelt, and utterly unforgettable.”
The Thing on the Doorstep will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, February 11, 2026:

THE PUNISHER RELOADS FOR A NEW ONGOING COMIC BOOK SERIES!
Benjamin Percy and José Luis Soares’ PUNISHER launches in February.
Following the success of Punisher: Red Band #1, superstar writer Benjamin Percy takes his work on the iconic character to the next level in PUNISHER #1 this February. The new ongoing series will be drawn by José Luis Soares. Revealed earlier today by Marvel Comics Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski at the Lucca Comics & Games festival in Italy, the series finds Frank, still dealing with the events of the Red Band series, waging a new war against criminals including a resurfaced JIGSAW, one of Marvel’s most terrifying supervillains!
CRIME’S WORST NIGHTMARE RETURNS!
As unflinching and uncompromising as ever, Frank Castle’s memory is damaged, and he’s hunting for answers and criminals alike! He’ll get more than he bargained for of both when the notorious and bloodthirsty JIGSAW returns…with THE PUNISHER dead in his sights!
“Punisher: Red Band was a new beginning for Frank Castle—and an unrelenting assault,” Percy explained. “The book was polybagged, because it was a biohazard, dripping with blood. Now that you know we aren't fooling around, we're entering a new phase of storytelling that will serve both as a continuation of Red Band and a fresh start for new readers.
“I'm joined in the dark alleys and rusting warehouses of New York by José Luis on pencils and Oren Junior on inks,” he continued. “Jose is stretching his incredible art in a new direction, channeling all the grit and scars and shadows you'd expect from Frank's cracked-window view of the world. You'll be amazed and disturbed by the grounding detail and physical menace and brutal action he's bringing to this story. And who better to cast as our villain—in a story about Frank picking up the broken, jagged pieces of himself—than one of the greatest Marvel baddies: Jigsaw. Get ready. This is gonna hurt.”

DIVE INTO JACE BELEREN’S LOST MEMORIES IN “MAGIC: THE GATHERING: UNTOLD STORIES—JACE”
The second installment in the Untold Stories series!
About Magic: The Gathering: Untold Stories—Jace:
Jace Beleren is the most talented mind mage in the Multiverse. A master of telepathy, illusion, and memory distortion, Jace’s heroic feats are tainted by a duplicitous past that threatens to unravel him at any given moment.
Dive deep into Jace’s lost memories to uncover the manipulation by his mentor, Tezzeret, in pursuit of a dangerous magical artifact with the potential to reshape or destroy the Multiverse as we know it.
“Jace is the kind of character that has haunted me for years, he’s that good looking guy that makes me throw my cards in the bin and extend my hand begrudgingly to the dreaded blue player who just ended my game,” said Conrad. “Beyond that the lore surrounding him has captured my imagination, and has refused to let go. I identify with Jace in that I don’t entirely trust my own memories and perceptions of the world, this has made approaching an at times aggravating character a bit therapeutic. I mean, if Jace can cope with having his mind messed with by everything from an ancient sphinx to someone he once deeply admired, surely I can unpack some of my own, far more pedestrian trauma… In this way it has been a cathartic experience to spend time in his troubled mind.”
MAGIC: THE GATHERING: Untold Stories—Jace #1 (of 4) releases in stores on February 4, 2026. It is now available to preorder from your local comic shop for $4.99.
MAGIC: THE GATHERING: Untold Stories—Jace #1 marks the third release of a new licensed publishing program between Dark Horse Comics and Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast division. This new era will expand the worlds of MAGIC: THE GATHERING and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS with comics, graphic novels, art books, and more.
MATT KINDT AND DAVID LAPHAM TEAM UP FOR A NEW ACTION-ADVENTURE COMIC SERIES, “KNIGHT CITY”
The new, original series featuring a team-up of two comics greats arrives February 2026
About Knight City:
A legendary hero is caught between two worlds. By day, he soars as a symbol of hope, but the moment he falls asleep, he enters a universe devoid of heroes where he leads a mundane life. As the pressure of his dual universes mounts, his heroic self begins to crack, pushing him toward a mental breakdown.
In a world that measures the loss of human life that occurs when he takes one night off, the weight of his responsibilities becomes too much. Ultimately, he’s left with a choice: embrace his extraordinary abilities or seek solace in the ordinary.
Will he stand tall in a world that needs him, or find peace in a simpler existence?
"I wanted to write a story where the most powerful hero on earth can't sleep because he can hear the cries for help no matter where he is...and it's driving him crazy,” said Kindt. “Until he wakes up and he has no powers. And he's a normal guy and happy. Then he's forced to make a choice - does he sacrifice his mental health to help earth or does he protect himself and just live a normal life. I think there's something compelling about that choice and I'm not sure what the right answer is...so we made this book to figure it out. Working with Dave is pure joy and he makes everything he touches twice as good."
“It’s always great to work with, Matt,” added Lapham. “He has the most effortless imagination of anyone I’ve ever worked with, and somehow still leaves space for collaboration and my bonkers ideas. Knight City is superheroes that are totally familiar but in a way that’s completely sideways and couldn’t come from anyone else.”
Knight City #1 (of 3) will be available in comic shops on February 4, 2026 and is now available for pre-order at your local comic shop for $4.99.
Praise for Matt Kindt and David Lapham:
“Kindt is a storyteller so fully in control of his gifts that his graphic novels read like quietly compelling arguments for the comics medium’s narrative potential.”—NPR
“One of the most exciting and original talents in the business.”—The Los Angeles Times on Matt Kindt
“With Stray Bullets, David and Maria Lapham made perhaps the most perfect crime comic I’ve seen so far.”—AIPT Comics
“Lapham is one of the best storytellers in comics.”—IGN
LEGENDARY CREATOR MIKE MIGNOLA TEAMS UP WITH HIS BROTHER TODD MIGNOLA TO CATCH UP WITH HELLBOY’S BROTHERS IN THE CROWN: A TALE OF HELL
Artist Warwick Johnson-Cadwell makes his Hellboy Universe Debut
Uri Tupka and the Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown
“Todd came to me with the idea of writing something about Hellboy’s brothers,” explains Mike Mignola. “It never would have occurred to me to do more with those guys but it didn’t take much prodding. Brothers writing about brothers in a somewhat complicated family dynamic—once we got going it was almost too easy. And fun. And SO MUCH fun that I could only imagine it drawn by Warwick.”
“The Crown follows a day in the 16th century life of Hellboy’s ‘Hell family.’” says Todd Mignola. “In the bowels of Castle Azzael, a crown is secretly being forged for a new king. Palace intrigue and deceitful backstabbing ensue as Hellboy’s dad, uncle and half-brothers all vie for the prize; for the chance to seize sleeping Satan’s throne.”
The Crown: A Tale of Hell stars Hellboy’s brothers Gamon and Lusk, who first appeared in Mignola’s beloved 2012 series Hellboy in Hell, as they fight for control of Pandemonium in this demonic family reunion. But it isn’t just the siblings who get involved in the power struggle, as their mother returns from her prison for the first time in a hundred years with plans of her own.
“I love where Todd and Mike are taking us with The Crown: A Tale Of Hell.” says Johnson-Cadwell. “I’m so grateful to have worked with Mike on Mr. Higgins and the Encounters With Evil books, but this is a step into the Hellboy universe and the opportunity to draw some of those legendary characters. And more exciting still, to introduce someone altogether new.”
The Crown: A Tale of Hell #1 is due out on February 11, 2026 from Dark Horse Comics. Follow Dark Horse on social media for more news, announcements, and updates.

Half dwarf, half orc, and wholly inconvenient to a doomsday prophecy, D'orc’s fated to end the world. Soon, every human, elf, goblin, dwarf, Snargletooth, Necroid, Ice Giant, Trauma Llama, and at least three other unpronounceable magical creatures will know his name. THE MARVEL UNIVERSE AND PLANET OF THE APES COLLIDE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN PLANET OF THE APES VS. FANTASTIC FOUR!
PLANET OF THE APES VS. FANTASTIC FOUR, a four-issue series by Josh Trujillo and Andrea di Vito, launches in February.
Marvel first published Planet of the Apes stories back at the very start with beloved comic adaptations of the original films. Today, that partnership continues with exciting new comic sagas set in different eras of the films, including last year’s acclaimed Beware the Planet of the Apes series. Now, it’s time to venture into uncharted territory with a series that bridges the world of Planet of the Apes with the Marvel mythos—and who better to lead the way than Marvel’s First Family! If you thought talking humans raised daring questions about simian society, just wait until you see the chaos unleashed on Ape City when Super Heroes arrive in this epic pop culture showdown!
WORLDS COLLIDE!
Marvel’s First Family find themselves stranded on the Planet of the Apes! Witness history as the Fantastic Four cross paths for the very first time with Cornelius, Zira, Ursus – and of course Dr. Zaius! But they won’t be going alone! Familiar foes from the Marvel Universe have set their sights on Ape City, setting the stage for a battle royale that fans won’t soon forget!
“I grew up watching Planet of the Apes marathons on Saturday afternoons, so it's a huge thrill to write for these iconic characters!” Trujillo shared. “Having Marvel's First Family butt heads with Cornelius, Zira, and Dr. Zaius is just too much fun, and I can't believe I'm the one who gets to tell this epic tale. It's a mash-up decades in the making, and I hope you come along for the ride!”
"It sounds like a weird meeting at first, but then you realize that both these franchises were meant to meet sooner or later,” Di Vito said. “Exploration has always been the Fantastic Four's main drive. Ending up on the Planet of the Apes is absolutely perfect for a classic FF adventure, set in the immortal tone created by Stan & Jack. I am honored to be the one to illustrate this ‘first official meeting’ between the Marvel Universe and Planet of the Apes."

TAURIN CLARKE'S STAR WARS BLACK HISTORY MONTH CONNECTING COVERS SPOTLIGHT LANDO CALRISSIAN, MACE WINDU, FINN AND MORE
Check out this year’s STAR WARS BLACK HISTORY MONTH VARIANT COVERS, a connecting piece by Taurin Clarke that will be featured on Star Wars #10 and Star Wars: Jar Jar #1 this February.
In his striking, cinematic style, Clarke captures iconic Black characters from every corner of Star Wars media. Representing decades of powerful storytelling, the celebratory piece spotlights film icons Lando Calrissian, Mace Windu, Saw Gerrera, Finn, and Jannah; The Mandalorian’s Moff Gideon, Greef Karga, and Kelleran Beq; Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Cere Junda; The High Republic’s Keeve Trennis and Lula Talisola; and Marvel Comics’ own Sana Starros!
“I was immediately on board with doing this project,” Clarke said. “Seeing Return of the Jedi in theaters at three-years old is what inspired me to start drawing. We got home and all I did afterwards was draw TIE Fighters and X-Wings ...and this was even before I got hooked on Marvel comics!
“There's something inherently cool knowing that somewhere, this book might be someone's first introduction to Star Wars,” he continued. “Maybe seeing characters that look like them (drawn by an artist who looks like them) might even inspire some other kid to be creative. That kind of representation means a lot to me.”

Acclaimed Cartoonist Ben Stenbeck Unveils the Monsters Lurking in His and Hellboy Creator Mike Mignola’s Shared Universe with Lands Unknown: The Skinless Man
"I'm beyond thrilled to have my first contribution to the world of LANDS UNKNOWN released into the wild,” says Ben Stenbeck. “It's such an exciting world to work in. The possibilities are endless, and I have big plans for a lot of stories that might seem disconnected at first, but they are all part of a larger story. A story about people searching for things they may or may not need in Lands Unknown. Also monsters and magic and talking animals in exotic locations."While Mignola’s Bowling With Corpses explores the fantastical, charming side of the Lands Unknown, The Skinless Man #1 is a nightmarish horror story. When a stormy night in the mountains forces a lone traveler to take shelter in a witch’s house, she spins a chilling yarn of the mysterious and merciless Skinless Man, who is in pursuit of new skin at any cost. When a gang of warlocks is foolish enough to try to deceive him, they learn just how far he’s willing to go.
“I’ve had the good fortune to work with Ben for a lot of years now, so I know how good he is—But I’ve also had a pretty good idea how good he COULD BE if he were really given the room to cut loose,” explains Mike Mignola. “That was a large part of the whole LANDS UNKNOWN thing, creating a place where Ben would have no choice but to cut loose—And he has—And it’s wonderful. I love what he’s done here, and I REALLY love that this is just the tip of his crazy iceberg of talking animals, evil wizards, monsters and giants. There is nobody out there I’d rather be sharing a world with.”
In addition to Stenbeck’s upcoming comic, the Lands Unknown universe continues to expand in Mike Mignola’s upcoming graphic novel. But nothing can prepare the unlikely adventurer for what he learns about the universe and his role in it.
Uri Tupka and the Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown is a 104-page hardcover that will be released in bookstores and comic shops on February 24, 2026. Lands Unknown: The Skinless Man #1 is due out on March 4, 2026 from Dark Horse Comics. Follow Dark Horse Comics on social media for more news, announcements, and updates.

THE GALAXY'S GREATEST HUNTER PREYS UPON THE WORLD’S GREATEST FIGHTERS IN PREDATOR: BLOODSHED!
PREDATOR: BLOODSHED, a five-issue limited series by Jordan Morris and Roland Boschi, arrives in February.
In the near future, Earth’s fiercest fighters have gathered for an underground martial arts tournament organized by a shadowy organization. But all hell breaks loose when an unexpected combatant enters the ring: an alien PREDATOR! Now the champions are battling not just for the grand prize, but for their very lives! Can a disparate group of competitors band together in time to survive the extraterrestrial hunter? Choose your fighter, place your bets and brace yourselves for a bloody tournament unlike any other!
“Getting to be part of Predator: Black White and Blood was such an honor,” Morris shared. “The Yaujta is one of the coolest characters in pop culture history and I can't believe the good folks at Marvel are letting us tell another longer, crazier, bloodier story in this awesome universe!”
“As a lifelong fan of the Predator franchise, I know that the Yaujta love testing themselves with new challenges,” he explained. “I figured an underground martial arts tournament where Earth's strongest fighters gather under one roof to wail on each other would be an ideal challenge for the galaxy's greatest hunter. I grew up on fighting video games and martial arts movies, so I am of the opinion that an underground fighting tournament is the coolest setting there is. I am so excited for folks to see the Yaujta absolutely wreck shop!”
“I’ve been a fan of Predator since the original film,” Boschi said. “The iconic threat in a hostile nature, the hunters becoming the hunted, overwhelmed by gruesome attacks... And the explosions! Now blend it with a rough MMA tournament, I know it's gonna be a thrill!”
“I'm such a fan of Roland Boschi and can't wait for folks to see his take on the Yaujta,” Morris added. “His fight scenes always go HARD so readers are in for some totally gorgeous carnage!"

THE ROAD TO ARMAGEDDON BEGINS IN WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON!
WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON by Chip Zdarsky and Luca Maresca, a lead-in series to next summer’s ARMAGEDDON event, arrives in February.
Written by Zdarsky and drawn by dynamic artist Luca Maresca (Superior Avengers), WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON marks the first chapter of the biggest story of the year. The pulse-pounding lead-in series sends Wolverine on a pivotal mission to track down the latest victim of a new superhuman experimentation program, only to discover a mysterious power at their disposal that could change everything…
ARMAGEDDON STRIKES THE MARVEL UNIVERSE!
When an old acquaintance drags Logan into the search for a new abducted mutant subject, the terrifying methods of the defunct Weapon X program are revealed to be alive and well. As Wolverine follows the scent of the feral Tyler – and the scent of his own trauma – he finds himself in a deadly race against a super-soldier-creating corporation called PRIMEWARRIOR…which has just hired a very familiar face: the fully armed and upgraded NUKE!
“The Road to Armageddon starts with super soldiers, starts with the Weapon X program. And Wolverine is going to kick off the end of everything,” Zdarsky explained. “For readers of Captain America, this is essential! For readers who want to know where the Marvel Universe is going, same. I’m pretty thrilled to get to tell this massive story, starting in Cap and really kicking it off here in WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON!”
“People often ask me who my favorite character is to draw, and my answer is always the same: Spider-Man and Wolverine,” Maresca shared. “I love drawing Wolverine in action, capturing his expressions, but I also love drawing Logan and giving him all the nuances of his tormented soul. What makes it even better is working with Chip Zdarsky, who I got to know and love during his run on Daredevil with Marco Checchetto.”
“I know this is a prelude to a much bigger story, Armageddon, which I think is going to be something extremely crazy and exciting,” he continued. “It's really a dream come true, and I'm trying to do my best and live up to expectations. I hope you're as excited as I am!”

IRON FIST DEFENDS THE SEVEN HEAVENLY CITIES IN DEADLY HANDS OF K'UN-LUN!
New York, NY— November 6, 2025 — This February, Lin Lie, A.K.A. Iron Fist returns in DEADLY HANDS OF K’UN-LUN! Written by Yifan Jiang (Eternals: 500-Year War) and drawn by Paco Medina (Venom, Spider-Boy), the five-issue comic book series marks the long-awaited next chapter in Lin Lie’s journey as the new Iron Fist.
As a major turning point in Lin Lie’s heroic saga, DEADLY HANDS OF K’UN-LUN is the perfect jumping on point for newcomers to the breakout character! The series sees Lin Lie lead a group of Marvel’s greatest martial artists against his villainous brother, Lin Feng, in his most intense battle yet. The series also explores the future of the Iron Fist mantle, including what’s next for Danny Rand, spinning directly out of his current adventures in The Undead Iron Fist.
THE SEVEN HEAVENLY CITIES ARE FALLING!
As demonic forces march their conquering army across the Seven Heavenly Cities, the only one who can stand in their way and restore order is IRON FIST! However, as more cities fall and the demonic forces swell, he’ll need to rely on some unlikely allies to face the incoming onslaught. But will the combined forces of Elektra, White Tiger, White Fox, Pei, Karnak, and Fooh be enough to stem the tide…or is Lin Lie destined to watch as the legacy of the Iron Fist goes up in flames?
“As much as I love so many Marvel characters, the K'un-Lun/Iron Fist corner of the universe has always been the closest to my heart,” Jiang shared. “And as someone who's been with Lin Lie almost from the very beginning, I feel the weight of the huge responsibility to take care of him in his next chapter. On top of all that, I know we're here to entertain you, so trust me-- you won't see the punches coming!”
“I'm so happy and excited to be working on this new Iron Fist series!” Medina said. “It's something completely new and full of challenges for me. I've already had fun doing some designs, and now I'm really focused on creating the most immersive story possible. Thanks to Yifan, I'm filling up on references and lots of details to make this world more real!
“I love Lin Lie’s Iron Fist design, created by Jim Cheung, and I think it's going to be an honor for me to give my own version,” he continued. “There’s lots of fighting and martial arts poses—how could I not be excited?”
“This book is for the fans out there just like me, and I can't wait for everyone to see the amazing Paco Medina shine as the superstar he is!” Jiang added.

MARVEL COMICS' ULTRAMAN SAGA REACHES ITS EPIC CONCLUSION IN THE FALL OF ULTRAMAN!
THE FALL OF ULTRAMAN, a one-shot by Kyle Higgins, Mat Groom, and Davide Tinto, arrives in February.
Made in collaboration with Tsuburaya Productions, Marvel’s venture into the Ultraman mythos began in 2020’s The Rise of Ultraman, which delivered a bold reimagining of the pop culture icon’s classic origin. Ultraman’s Marvel adventures continued in The Trials of Ultraman, Ultraman: The Mystery of Ultraseven, and last year’s Ultraman X the Avengers, where Japan’s greatest super hero finally crossed over with the heroes of the Marvel Universe! It’s all been leading to this—at long last, witness the end of this incredible chapter in Ultraman’s groundbreaking legacy in THE FALL OF ULTRAMAN!
Together, they’ve crossed dimensions, unfurled conspiracies, tangled with giant Kaiju, and saved civilizations. But now, Ultraman and his team are given an unexpected glimpse at the path ahead – and that path leads unavoidably to the loss of our world’s greatest hero! What cosmic threat will be Ultraman’s undoing? Will the United Science Patrol be redeemed? And will Earth finally be lost to the sinister machinations that have been plaguing it for decades? It’s time to find out!
“Our very first version of the initial pitch for The Rise of Ultraman, our first Ultraman limited series, included an outline of how the saga would end,” Groom explained. “Now, five years later, that end is here, and it comes bearing the same title as it did in that first outline: THE FALL OF ULTRAMAN.
“It’s bittersweet to be saying goodbye to Shin, Kiki, Dan, and the rest of the Ultra Guard — but we’re thankful that we get to give them the send-off they deserve, and give Ultraman a final challenge worthy of both his shining heart and towering stature,” he continued. “For the fans who have been with us from Rise to Fall, thank you — we hope you enjoy the finale!”
“It’s been one of the great honors of my career to spend the last five years helping bring a new interpretation of Ultraman to Western comic book readers,” Higgins shared. “Getting to play even a small part in expanding such a timeless, heroic mythology has meant the world to me. My deepest thanks to C.B. Cebulski, Tom Brevoort, Jeff Gomez, Danny Simon, Kei Minamitani and everyone at Tsuburaya Productions, at Tsuburaya Productions, and the incredible artists who brought these stories to life. And most of all, to my partner through every step of this journey, Mat Groom — without him, there simply wouldn’t be a series.”
