Supergirl: Survive, Superman: Father of Tomorrow and Dark Knights of Steel II Launch This Summer
DC Elseworlds continues its resurgence this summer as the line’s new series for 2026 begin to arrive from some of comics’ most exciting storytellers.
After first hinting that a new DC Elseworlds series, Supergirl: Survive, would launch during DC’s Summer of Supergirl celebration, DC now unveils the full scope of its next wave of alternate–universe storytelling with Supergirl: Survive, Superman: Father of Tomorrow, and Dark Knights of Steel II. In Supergirl: Survive, teenage Kara Zor-El and infant Kal-El are launched into a hostile universe as Krypton burns around them, while Superman: Father of Tomorrow imagines a world where Jor-El, not his newborn son, crash-lands in Kansas and becomes Earth’s greatest protector. And, in Dark Knights of Steel II, the fan-favorite fantasy epic returns to forge a new legend.

DC will also return to one of its most beloved alternate–universe sagas with Dark Knights of Steel II, launching July 15 from writer Tom Taylor and artist Otto Schmidt, with covers by Yasmine Putri. More details will be revealed soon.
Superman: Father of Tomorrow and Supergirl: Survive join the DC Elseworlds line with their May and June debuts, followed in July by DC’s Dark Knights of Steel II. This year’s one-shot spotlights family with stories centered around Scarlet Witch, Vision, Wiccan, Hulkling and more. A longtime advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, Tegan brings her expertise in an epic team-up tale that tackles the complex relationship between Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd, Young Avengers and twin sons of Scarlet Witch and Vision, exploring their differences and unique perspectives as they battle Ultron!
“As a twin myself, I truly can’t think of two characters in the Marvel Universe I would have been more excited to write than Wiccan and Speed,” Quin shared. “Making my Marvel debut with this story isn’t just a thrill, it feels downright magical! And let’s just say Ultrons aren’t that different from certain folks I’ve encountered in the record industry over the years, so spending a few pages crushing one into oblivion was deeply cathartic.”

Sara and I are both married, but she has two kids and I don’t have any, and that’s created the first real shift in how we experience adulthood—she’s living a totally different day to day life than me. Still, no matter how different our paths become, the genetic bond—the experience of being identical twins—can’t be replicated or replaced. It’s something singular that binds us, and I thought about that constantly while writing this story. Half of Sara and my career success probably comes down to our banter—people love watching us tease, fight, and resolve conflict—so I definitely leaned into that dynamic on the page hoping people might enjoy that with Wiccan and Speed!”

Joining James and Agnese is a crop of charts-topping cover artists. J. Scott Campbell showcases the haunting elegance of Aladdin's resident dastardly Disney Villain — Jafar. "Marguerite and I have been talking about this story for years,” said Tynion. “It all started as a text conversation about a group of white supremacists we'd seen a story about online, talking about their faith in Odin, and then we started talking about what the real norse Odin would do with these idiots if he had the chance. It felt pretty immediately clear that there was a mean and brutal horror story in it and we wanted to tell it together."
Odin follows Adela, a thrill-seeking journalist who goes undercover to report on a band of Neo Nazis. She will do anything for the perfect story, including heading into the frozen forests of Norway with Neo Nazi punks who seek Odin to achieve their promised white supremacist destiny. But what awaits them in the woods is far older and stranger than any of them can comprehend, and no gods are coming to answer their prayers. Green Room meets Midsommar with a touch of The Ritual in this relentless hallucinogenic thriller that leaves absolutely no taboo unbroken.
Bennett added: “The plain truth is I hope it fucks people up, ups their pucker factor, puts ice in the pit of their stomach. The dread, doom, and desolation is truly unrelenting. Odin joins Tiny Onion’s aggressive slate of publishing and multimedia projects. It was announced last month that bestselling comic book series Exquisite Corpses and short film Room Service are both getting the feature treatment as part of a two-picture deal between Tiny Onion and producing partner Lyrical Media. Blumhouse Productions has also optioned Tynion’s groundbreaking comics horror franchise, Something is Killing the Children, to adapt both for film and for an animated television series with Tynion attached to produce alongside the series publisher BOOM! Studios. Plus, Tiny Onion’s expansive development slate in animation includes an adaptation of Tynion’s Image Comics series W0rldtr33 at Netflix, an adaptation of his BOOM! Studios series The Woods, and an original adult animated comedy series developed with production company Irony Point, Tipsy Dragon.

To mark the unveiling of THE UNBELIEVABLES, both The Rocketfellers and Hornsby & Halo will release special issue #0s in May—prologues to the event as well as standalone entry points designed to welcome new readers while revealing secrets for longtime fans.
Then in June those worlds collide as the four-part crossover event “WHO ARE THE UNBELIEVABLES?” which begins introducing several major new characters joining the line, including The Trillion Dollar Kid. Created by Geoff Johns, Peter J. Tomasi, and Francis Manapul, The Trillion Dollar Kid serves as both a guide and catalyst—linking characters, stories, and lore as the true scope of THE UNBELIEVABLES begins to reveal itself.

Driven by the Trillion Dollar Kid’s search for the one thing money can’t buy, the four-part “WHO ARE THE UNBELIEVABLES?” brings together the Rocketfeller family, Rose Hornsby, and Zachary Halo in an incredible adventure while laying the foundation for what comes next.
“We’re continuing the stories of The Rocketfellers and Hornsby & Halo,” said Tomasi. “But this crossover kicks open the doors wider—revealing new characters and new corners of this universe that have been waiting in the wings since we launched our titles in 2024.”
Among those being introduced are The Deadtones, a rock band of misfit monsters on the run; The Curious Creatures of Dr. Moreau, because sometimes life needs to get a little wild; Jean Genie, a genie finally free from her endless existence of servitude and now coming to grips with what freedom means in the modern world; and a whole lot more, as seen on the newly revealed UNBELIEVABLES map.

THE DAYS OF DOOM!
Doctor Victor Von Doom is a great scientist, an unparalleled sorcerer and the ruler of his own nation. He is, by any measure, a great man. And yet Doom wants more. And when Reed Richards – Mister Fantastic, his greatest enemy and eternal rival – is showcased at a prestigious international event to which Doom wasn’t even invited, Doom is outraged.
Reed shares his plan for his eventual retirement project: the total optimization of history. He intends to go back in time, to all the eras humanity wasted on war and conflict, and fix them, saving trillions of lives and ensuring humanity can achieve its greatest and final glory. The idea of Reed rewriting history in his own image is, of course, antithetical to Doom, and so he decides to do it before Reed does. But when the Fantastic Four intervene, Doom finds himself in a battle he never intended – across all of time and space!
On returning to the character after One World Under Doom, North said, “I thought we'd left Doom in a really interesting place with the events of One World Under Doom, and I was looking forward to seeing what others do with him now - and I still am! But when the chance came up to do an evergreen Doom story - meaning one set not in the immediate present but instead in the not-too-distant past, unshackled from his current status quo - it was really alluring, especially when I was told I could go as big and as crazy as I wanted. In short, this is the fun one: Doom at his absolute Doomiest as he careens his way through a quest through time, rewriting history in his image - all to ennoble and exalt his beloved Latveria. It's fun, it's bombastic, and I can promise some absolute banger Doom moments (and speeches!) in it.”
