Today on The View, Angie Harmon from Law & Order and Rizzoli & Isles confirmed that she does indeed want to portray the Gammazon, Jennifer Walters AKA She-Hulk.
Since The View is on ABC which is owned by Disney who owns Marvel, it's seems to be more than a mere plea.
However two things are problematic:
- If Ms. Harmon wants to play Jennifer Walters too, she is simply too stunning and tall to be considered "mousy" or "plain".
- If Ms. Harmon wants to play She-Hulk not as a CGI character, it will be hard to find a natural-looking green make-up that doesn't look like make-up!
However, if she is serious, she has my vote!

Maybe she could go on the same regime of protein shakes as Mark Ruffalo took for his role?

Regarding point one: On television, even "mousy" or "plain" people are stunning and tall. (Prime example: Lynda Carter as Diana Prince.) Not to mention, they very well may not present the character as "mousy" or "plain," especially if they tailor the character to the actor.
Regarding point two: Why is this thought of as a problem? It's an issue for the makeup and special effects guys.
I would have to say that, a CGI She-Hulk would be much better than a person wearing green bodypaint. She-Hulk is much taller and 'buffer', if I'm using the term correctly, than the normal humna being, and as with the Hulk, would be better off as CGI. I'd have to see if Angie Harmon would play as Jennifer Walters, She's Hulk human alter ego, than in full green make-up.
...The footage , hint , hint , hint , hint , hint...........
Sorry nothing on YouTube, Emer, but you can see that episode of The View (June 4, 2012) on Hulu in the meantime. Don't know about you guys but I wouldn't mind sitting on a couch between Angie Harmon and Elizabeth Hasselback!!
Does She-Hulk need to be a CGI character? She was never as tall or, more importantly, as massive as the Hulk so I think a physically fit, tall actress as Ms. Harmon is could effectively play her. It's making the green skin look real that's the problem! I didn't buy the Orion girl on Star Trek as being anything else but a girl in make-up!
Like a girl in green make-up! That episode also gueststarred the WWE's Big Show in green make-up, looking more like Shrek than the Hulk!

I was having the discussion the other day of which Avenger they could add to the next movie, and thought the She-Hulk would be the logical choice. Another female would be a good move, but the Wasp looks too much like Tinkerbell and the Scarlet Witch's powers are too varied. The mainstream audience already knows the Hulk. Also, they need a lawyer.
Don't know about Angie, though.
...Is the Wasp alive in the MU at the moment ?????????
Is she called The Wasp ?????????
The question is, is she alive in the Paramount MU....
