I have been wondering about this board for at least a week or two now. Not only is it taking MUCH longer for each page to come up on my screen than usual (and this is NOT happenning at any other board I go to), but glancing down at the status bar at the bottom of my screen, I keep seeing things like...
"Transferring data from www35t.glam.com..."
I did a Google search, and "35t.glam.com" is some kind of VIRUS. Multiple upgrades & security checks on my computer suggest it's not my computer, but possibly this site that has gotten infected somehow.
Someone may want to look into it.
I'm not one of the moderators, but I think I now what happened to Zorro. Yesterday a spammer started posting a series of spam personal messages. This happens from time to time. Personal messages appear in the "Latest Activity" column on the left of the home page, so when it happens you can see it happening. I would suppose what you got, Zorro, was an automatic "you've gotten a message" email from the board. If this isn't the case - if it was an email directly from the spammer - please say so.
Henry, I've not had that kind of problem at this site. I have the status bar on and I only get messages on it using this site when I run my mouse arrow over a link.
Also, when I click a "last reply" link the URL of the reply briefly flashes when the board switches its place on the page to the reply.

I don't know what the hell it is, but it's there right now! I'm wondering if it might be connected to all the adds and links down the right side of the board. (It' always struck me that there was too much "stuff" here.)
I also get one that says, "Read static.ninig.com" (That's there right now)
Does this mean that Captain Comics doesn't "have something Special to share with me"? :(
Everything Captain Comics shares is Special, Jeff :)
Henry, could you take a screen shot and post it, please?
I don't think I have the capability to do that. Anyway, right now, al it is is text appearing on the status bar at the bottom of the browser. It doesn't seem to be affecting anything... except that usually, when you go to any web page, it's supposed to say "Done" when you get there. This way it looks like it's still grabbing info from somewhere...
This site, and many others, has a link to Facebook that it tries to connect with every page load. Facebook is blocked on my work network, so, every time I go to a page here, I get a warning message that it's trying to connect to another page and asks if I want to cancel or continue. If I click "continue," it tries to go on to Facebook, and my firewall gets a nice entry saying I tried to access Facebook.
Incidentally, we Moderators are very familiar with "Love, Nelly," who keeps getting back on the board under different names and propositioning Legionnaires. Every time she shows up we delete her, and we're all on guard, but if she slips back in again, y'all let us know pronto and we'll delete here.
AGAIN! She sure is persistent.
