So - I know I've only been here a week, but I thought I might be able to brighten up everyone's lives a little with a new thread devoted to comical cartoons based around superheroes. I have loads of funny material that I've picked up over the years. If anyone else would like to contribute please feel free to join in.
I'll start with some of my faves...

Just to be pedantic about it, Wimpy's parents named him "J. Wellington."
"Wimpy" is his surname.
I knew that but it didn't occur to me. Here's a cartoon from am occasional series by Mark Parisi.
This Mancanudo Sunday is thematically similar to my favorite single-panel cartoon.
Out Our Way from 1957*:
Of course, these days the one kid would have his "beak" buried in a cell phone.
*Disregard that "1935" date. My copy is from a badly faded newspaper. I used AI to "clean it up" a little, but it changed the date from 1957 to 1935 for some reason. It also supplied some dialogue about "Dr. Acula" in the second word balloon, which I restored to the original. And the artist's name is "Neg Cochran," not "Neg C-Shheak."
