All in all, not a bad story. The special effects seem a bit dodgy, and the Vogans are a touch on the lame side, but I enjoyed seeing this again.
In Invasion they could use the bulb at the top of their chestpieces as a weapon.
Revenge was heavily rewritten by script editor Robert Holmes. According to Gerry Davis, in an interview in Doctor Who Magazine #129, "As for Revenge, which was the wrong title if there was one - mine was 'Something In Space' - basically what happened was that they wanted a cheapie, so I wrote the whole thing as a sort of Las Vegas in space - long before I'd ever been there, though I've been there many times since. It was a very concentrated script. You saw quite a bit of it with the plague stuff, and it was a little like The Moonbase with the Cybermats.
"At first it was a kind of Marie Celeste space casino, with all these deserted roulette tables. The Cybermen were destroyed with the gold used there, gold being the only pure metal. Then they got more money and decided to write in a sub-plot, which I thought diffused the interest a bit."
I think the bit about a title is a reference to view that revenge is an inappropriate motivation for Cybermen. In their earlier stories they were emotionless.I take it the bit about "only pure metal" means "only pure metal available".

The Cyberleader is the only Cyberman who speaks much, and he definitely is not emotionless. The problem, of course, is that truly emotionless characters really don't make for interesting television.

I ordered "Revenge" and "Silver Nemesis" in the same order with "The Lost TV Episodes," and I received the latter yesterday. (I'm midway through the second episode of "Marco Polo" right now). Weird.

Upon re-watching this, I note two things - One: The Cyberleader said that there would be a "secondary explosion" if they meddled with the belt buckles, and Two: The info text says the script contained a line explaining that the belt buckles were booby-trapped, but that this line neve rmade it into the final show. So, the explosion that killed Lester and the Cybermen wasn't the main Cyberbomb going off.

I don't agree there. The human characters in the story, and their conflicts, can supply the emotion. What emotion does the shark in Jaws show?
