This was written by Rona Munro, who wrote "Survival", the last story of the old series. I know they've used a director from the old series - Graeme Harper - and several actors, but I'm reasonably certain that this is the first writer.
The story itself was pretty good, atmospheric and creepy. I'm a sucker for stories where enemies have to come together to fight a greater threat.
I liked the "Death by Scotland" line.
Nardole's explanation of the Mary Celeste contradicts "The Chase".

This is easily my least favorite story this season. It seems to me to be too anacronistic, with 21st century attitudes grafted on to 2nd century soldiers. I liked "World Enough and Time" much more, though.
