I remember this bit first run when I was still reading Marvel Comics.

Was there ever a sequel, or at least an official rebuttal by another character, within another Marvel book?

Not a direct sequel but in The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, each entry had a strength level and one issue listed who could lift (press) a particular tonnage. Spidey's was 10 tons making him half as strong as Thor's elderly step-mother, Frigga, who could lift 20 tons!
There was a Thor story in the 60s where Odin stripped Thor of his powers as a god. That left him with his natural strength, which was great enough to allow him to lift a golden bull statue, but Loki was able to beat him up using the strength he possessed as an Asgardian.
Ah, Thundra thanks guys. I've heard the name, but I doubt I've read a comic with her in it.
It's still amazing that they ranked Thundra over She-Hulk and Colossus!

It's possible both weren't as strong at the time as they became later. I don't feel quite able to judge this, though. According to DC Indexes, the annual came out in Sep. 1981, the same month as Savage She-Hulk #23 and Uncanny X-Men #152. She-Hulk's title had a couple more issues to go. She didn't join the Avengers until the next year.

Nice to see Wolverine ranked exactly where he belongs.

Colossus, She-Hulk and Valkyrie are all misplaced. They should be one tier higher.

I think the big reason Hercules couldn't take the Hulk was because it would have been inconvenient. Also, Hulk was extremely angry in that story, so presumably no upper limit to his strength. I think realistically it would be a standstill.

I think the big advantage Thor has over the Hulk is his weather-related powers. In the times I've seen them fight, the only time I recall Thor taking him out cleanly was after he hit him with lightning several times.

Never really sure where to put Cage, but he should be at the same level as Spider-Man, at least in my opinion.

Why the Hulk is the strongest there is:

Hercules did bear the weight of the sky on his shoulders during his Eleventh Labour, y'know. And he destroyed countless monsters, giants and demi-gods, to boot.

But Hercules wasn't a main event character like the Hulk or Thor. Did he ever battle the Thing?

Who's the guy between  Daredevil and Wolverine?

I'm pretty sure that's the Shroud.

Yea, that is the Shroud.
