    They were married for damn near 70 years. I worry for Stan.

    My father died Memorial weekend, it's gonna be a hard time for Stan as I know well.

    My mother died June 16, 2017.

    We all know a form of the grief he's going through.  It hovers in the back of the mind, lingers in the shadows, claws at the sun and turns the light of the moon into a longing for the other side.  I hope Stan can take it.

    My father passed 30th May this year too.

    It concentrates the mind on what - and who - is important in your life.

    My father died unexpectedly when I was 15. My mother died after a slowly going down hill when I was 46, over twenty years ago. Even when it's expected it's never easy.

    My father passed away on May 30th, 2014.

    Life may go on, it should go on and it will go on but it will always be different. And, as they say, time heals all wounds.
