Tracy and I plan to attend this coming weekend.
KAIJU GO!, the premier kaiju event in Dallas-Fort Worth, returns to the historic TEXAS THEATRE on AUGUST 16, 2025. This showcase of Japanese monster films, art, and toys will, once again, bring fans a Godzilla double-feature, special guest artists, kaiju toy and collectibles vendors, vinyl toy artists and designers, and much, much more!
And, we've expanded! Kaiju Go! vendors will also fill in the gallery at the OAK CLIFF CULTURAL CENTER right next door to the theater, providing room for more vendors and more space for attendees!
The first two events sold out...so get your tickets early!
Kaiju Go! 2025 will feature:
- RETURN OF GODZILLA (1984) in original Japanese with English subtitles
- INVASION OF ASTRO-MONSTER (1965) in original Japanese with English subtitles
- Special Screening: THE SUPER INFRA-MAN (1975) in original Mandarin with English subtitles
- Special Guest Artist: TOM WHALEN

We're back. It was sold out, but we never considered buying tickets for the main event, anyway. Tickets were $50 apiece and we didn't need to see either of the movies. By the time we got there, the temperature was at least 95° and the line was around the block. All we really wanted to do was stroll around the vendor tables, and I wasn't going to drop $100 just to do that. The vendors in the side venue were free, so that's what we did. There wasn't anything I was looking for in particular, anyway. the only thing I thought I might get would be a Pigmon figure for Tracy if I could find one. One vendor had small "Ultraman" kaiju for $20, which is about the least expensive thing we saw at the whole show. So I picked out a Pigmon for Tracy and a Baltan for myself (I would have bought a Dada, but he didn't have one), I took it to the vendor and he said I could have them both for free! I don't know why he didn't charge me; I didn't buy anything else at his table. Tracy wanted to buy a "Starry Night" Godzilla t-shirt for herself, and I was so pleased to get the Ultraman kaiju figures for free I bought an Ultraman t-shirt. Tracy took some pictures she'll post in a little while.
