ISSUE #1 - "Krypton"
The destruction of Krypton has been shown so many different times that you wouldn't think there was anything new to be learned, but this time it's told from an entirely different point of view: Krypto's! Writer Ryan North has almost convinced me that it was all right for Jor-El to use the family pet on a rocketship test flight, and artist Mike Norton has convinced me, with Krypto's every movement and mannerism, that he is, in fact, a real dog. The prototype is sucked into a wormhole, and if that scene doesn't break your heart then you have no heart to break.
Krypto lands 50 miles outside Metropolis and soon makes his way to the city where he befriended by a young boy... but not the one you might expect.

ISSUE #2 - "Fall"
This issue begins with the following "Content warning: This issue contains scenes of a bad person with a good dog. True heroes care for their furry friends and treat them with love and respect." Just as issue #1 presented the destruction of Krypton from a different POV, so too does this issue present Lex Luthor. Christy Noem would probably approve of this issue. Happily, Krypto (who has not yet developed any powers), escapes his abusive home at the end.
NEXT: "Winter"
Like Supergirl #1, I was able to read Krypto #1 on DC Universe Infinite. A good story that takes Jor-El off the hook for endangering the family pet. Like Supergirl, I'll read further if and when issue #2 shows up on the website.
Since I upgraded to DC Universe Ultra, I have read the second issue of Krypto the Last Dog of Krypton and will continue..
ISSUE #3 - "Winter"
Much of this story is wordless so it won't take long to summarize. But in the case of a good story well told (which this is), I like to linger on the panels for as long as it would take them to play out on a movie screen or IRL, so I wouldn't worry about not getting your money's worth out of this one. Krytpo finds a little girl lost in the woods and saves her life. after he brings her to safety, he refuses to leave her side until she awakens. His powers begin to develop. Ends with some foreboding foreshadowing.

I have been holding these until I have them all, but it sounds too good to hold off. I'll start reading them this week.

This. I need this. Jor-El would be on my S list forever otherwise.
