While it won't discard the Marvel comic continuity, like The New 52, it is a total revamping of the Marvel books which will bring the Marvel U of the comics closer to the movie versions of the characters.
Rocket Racoon is front and center most likely due to the Guardians of the Galaxy film that has been announced by Disney.
The original five X-Men will be shot forward to the present and be long-lasting characters along with their older selves...and, yes, that means Jean Grey, Marvel Girl, is back.

Uncanny Avengers and Avengers are books that sound like something I'd want to read (or at least, creative teams I'd want to follow). All-New X-Men......maybe. I love love LOVE Immonen, but I'm hot-and-cold on Bendis, and I'm not sure I like the picture in my head when I combine his writing voice with that book's premise.
I think it's been established before that the Red Skull hates mutants, yeah? As part of his commitment to racial purity and all that.
Still, I agree it was an odd descriptor...
I love the X-Men concept! Kind of reminds me of when the Legion of Super-Heroes got to meet--and coexist with--the grown-up versions of themselves back in the early 90's. The SW6 Batch, I believe they were called. Funny how that kind of thing sticks with you when you read it during your personal golden age.
Look at how Frank Cho draws Wolverine's feet. So dainty. I suddenly don't feel so intimidated by Wolverine. They almost look like hooves.
Agreed. :(

I showed this ad to Tracy this morning and her message to comic book publishers is simply this:"Stop giving Frank Cho work!" [Implicit in that statement is "...so that he can get back to drawing Liberty Meadows."]
I'd much prefer to see Liberty Meadows come back.
I always enjoyed "Somerset Holmes" and thought it had a a great six issue run....
I've got to say, now that they've shown Xaviers brain disected and imply that it's been implanted into the Red Skull....(don't ask how, just accept it)....well, I really doubt that Professor X is going to be coming back...Buckey/Winter Soldier not withstanding!
