New Members, SOUND OFF!

I'm seeing a lot of names I don't recognize here on the new site, and that's wonderful. I'm sure a number of them, perhaps even ALL of them are folks from the old board who have decided to start using their real names, but either way, introduce yourself here and let us know if your a fresh face or if you've simply stepped out of the phone both in your civilian identity!

  • I was about to start a similar thread, not so much for new members but hoping that old friends with new names would identify themselves. I've altered my own handle so that it has both my real name and my code name. I see that Lime Coke has done something similar.

Please! If you've changed your handle, let us know who you were on the old board. OK? Thanks!
  • Sorry, no plans to use my real name just yet! Call me kooky, but I like having a "secret ID."
    • So do we call you Lumbering Jack or Kooky now? Make up your mind! :P
  • "Kooky" could apply to almost everyone on the board!
  • K is for Kooky, that's good enough for me!

That's not a problem at all, LJ. We're like the Avengers (the real ones, that is) in that nobody has to reveal their secret ID. If you change your ID, though, it'd be nice to know who you were before the name change. Get it? Got it? Good!
  • I'm Foosman on the other board.
  • I think it was easier to have more anonymity on the other board, which I liked.
  • On the old old board, I used my real name until I noticed that everyone else was using a "code name," so I made up one and haven't wanted to stop using it. I still don't. I like having a "secret ID."

Yeah, every so often I get a little jealous of all the fancy code-names y'all have. But using my name is a good reminder not to shoot my mouth off too often. Maybe I need to compromise -- something like Rob Staeger: Hellblazer?
