    ...Um...........I meant to edit the above , adding on to it (My present posting circumstances require me to take VERY short posting times with me having to sign back in every time !!!!!!!!!!! :-( Well , it's better than nothing I guess:-).........)...........Um...

      APE is an indie/" alternative " comics-oriented convention...owned by the same company which own SDCC !!!!!!!!!!!

    ( " ComiCon " is their corporate name , isn't it ????????? )

      I've gone at least once in the past...It is held , I believe every time , in a slightly-on-the-edge-of town venue , away from downtown unlike WonderCon , which in its SF days , was held the the downtown-ier I suppose (?!!) more upscale , Moscone Convention Center...

      My " shedjul' " , as well as amount of dosh ,Guv'nor , disallows me from going to this one...( O Captain , did not APE even send a PR to youse ?????)...It also disallows me from going to a Castro Theater double-bill of the Judy Garland A STAR IS BORN aBabs in FUNNY GIRL...which would be about 6 hours in a movie seat I believe so I swan ??!??!!!!!

      Sat. , after I left here , the San Francisco mail Library , on the end of Hyde Street to the right of it there was a shuttle bus for APE attendees stopping there !
