Last Sunday's NEW YORK TIMES's Arts & Leisure section had two comics-related stories of interest , one a story revolving around how Marvel Comics to-day manages itself the other one a story on the newmovie , with Riann Wilson , Liv Tyler , and Kevin Bacon , " Super " , a " dark super-hero spoof"/" deconstruction that opened in New York and here in SF to-day , probably not ( beyond LA , obviously ) much of anywhere else , since it's RIAA rating-free and , thus , I daresay its distributor the IFC cable channel company will be showing it soon...Any , especially considering the Grey Lady's much-brunted about decision to charge acess fees for its material , could Ye Mods put liks to both these stories , please ?

"Super" opens April 15 in Nashville, at a local art house. I guess it's too extreme for the multiplexes.

It's getting mostly great reviews, and I love the trailer. I actually want to see this more than any of this year's "serious" superhero movies.

  • ...I may see " Super " soon but what I want to , really , bring up here is tha NY Times article that appeared that day , which was about Marvel's corporate set-up now , and how they deal with " being the low-doen the pyramid ant which HOLDS UP all of these blockbusters " it was an interesting article could someone dig it up please ???????
  • I found this article on the New York Times site: "Modern Marvel: Marvel Faces a Mighty Foe: Publishing World Uncertainties".

Is this the one you mean?

  • ...Yeah , that's it , Clark , thank you .

Anyone have any thoughts about it ?????????
