I was watching the Savage/Warrior "retirement" match on disk last night, and it came to the ending where Elizabeth threw Sherri out of the ring, and the thought came to me, "Both of these women are dead now, it's depressing."

Climb in the ring? Here's hoping he just stays home!

For a long time, he was this unaging robot, and then his years seemed to catch up with him all at once.

Yes, I hope Vince decides he should never climb in the ring again.

Well, yeah.

In my opinion - and this is just pure speculation on my part - once Vince dies or becomes non compos mentis, the WWE will be sold to whatever sucker they can line up.  Neither Shane nor Stephanie is the promoter that Vince was in his prime (and I'm also not sure that Shane's heart is really in it).  Levesque, for all his flaws, might not have been the worst possible choice to run the company, but from what I've heard, his health is fragile these days, and he might not be up  to the stress of running a promotion.

To me, the funniest possible outcome would be (and I know that this will never happen) if some corporation bought the company and hired Heyman to run it.

It looks like that Vince doesn't want to leave WWE to his children, just sell it outright, presumably to Universal/Peacock/USA though I've heard rumors about both Fox and Disney. Also presumably with Shane, Stephanie and Triple H still holding positions there.

Of course, there was the crazy speculation that either Shane or Triple H would go to AEW!

It would be an interesting parallel if the new bosses promised to keep them on and then dumped them as soon as they could the way Turner did to the Crocketts when they took over Jim Crocket Promotions.

I never bought into the "Hunter/Shane going to AEW" stories.  To my mind, there was no way that was ever going to happen.

Back in the Attitude era, I was always impressed by how much Vince and Shane would bust their humps when they were actually in the ring. They actually had some really good matches, frequently involving blading, going through tables and other things you wouldn't expect.

I particularly remember a match between Shane and Test where the younger McMahon jumped from the top of the ring post through the Spanish announcers table.

Sasha Banks and Naomi walk out on "Monday Night RAW" Mid-Show   Apparently, this is a shoot and not a work, or if it is a work, it's a "deep cover" work, as everyone seems to be taking it quite seriously. I haven't followed RAW closely in a long time, so I don't know how they've been booked lately, so I can't guess at how long something like this might have been brewing.  I'm sure that more details will come out in the days to come.  My impression is that Banks is a big enough star that the WWE might try to reconcile with her.  Naomi may be screwed (as far as the WWE is concerned, at least) unless Banks makes taking her back part of any theoretical "reconciliation".

Naomi is married to Jimmy Uso thus connected to both Roman Reigns and the Rock. She'll be fine.

Sasha has walked out before, also because of the Women's Tag Title which she wants to mean something, far, far more than the WWE does!

In fact, I think that Sasha won the Tag Titles just to have her on the last Wrestlemania card since she was not involved with either brand's Women's title match!

I didn't realize that Naomi was a Fatu until I looked up her real name. I feel like every Samoan that ever wrestled is part of that extended family.

By blood, marriage or being "adopted" into it!

In other wrestling news, Ric Flair is going to wrestle, what'll this be, his third "final match"?   I've no idea what kind of condition he's in, I'd heard that he'd had surgery not that long ago.  Setting aside the greater-than-zero chance that he might drop dead in the ring, I'd hate to see him come pout and be this doddering old guy obviously carried by the other workers. Rumor has it that the Rock and Rolls' "mystery partner" will be Rick Steamboat.

Which would be odd since Steamboat had health issues during his last run with WWE.
