Earl Bowen, the perpetually bald character actor with the hangdog mien, dies of Stage 4 lung cancer at 81.
From Variety: "Earl Boen, Actor in ‘The Terminator’ Movies, Dies at 81"
Boen appeared in three of the Terminator movies, but I know him from It's a Living; he co-starred in the second season as Dennis Hubner, the chef.
Boen appeared in the final episode of Barney Miller, which is enough in my book to make him an adjunct member of what might be called "The Barney Miller Repertory Company", which included Don Calfa, Florence Halop, Richard Libertini, Alex Henteloff, Peggy Pope, Bruce Kirby, Walter Olkewicz, Val Bisoglio, Nehemiah Persoff, Ron Masak, Susan Tolsky and others.
