Story   I remember watching him when I was little, more than fifty years ago now.

Bob McGrath was with Sesame Street from Day One, and I believe he would have been there until his dying day, but he was retired in 2017 when the deal was struck for HBO to get the first-run episodes and PBS getting the reruns six months later. 

Rest well; he is very much in the DNA of Sesame Street.
