Well, Amazon's advance listings for Showcase Presents for late 2013 didn't pan out too well, since we didn't get a number of the titles that had been listed, including SP Unknown Soldier Vol. 2 and SP House of Secrets Vol. 3. Still, we push on for early 2014. As you can see, there are several that had been announced years ago that appear to be making the publication schedule. We'll start with the last one for 2013 and move on. Who can resist this first one with this cover?

It bums me out that there's no sign of SP Superman Volume 5.
I'll believe we'll get Captain Carrot, the Super Friends and the Atomic Knights when I have them in my hands. They've all been solicited before, and they've all been canceled before.
Gotta love that Strange Adventures cover for a Christmas eve release!
(That sounded a lot dirtier than I meant it.)
It seems hopeless at this point but perhaps someday I will see a third volume of Challengers of the Unknown.
The early Kirby material has been reprinted multiple times in a variety of formats, while what I consider the series peak years from the mid-sixties continues to be overlooked.
Atomic Knights will be released shortly after World War III.

I hope that at least the STRANGE ADVENTURES SP ships when they say it does. I'll cross my fingers for the others--and for more SPs that aren't on that list.
Thanks for finding these, Hoy! Like the others, I'm skeptical of those releases, given those titles' past history and the fact that a bunch of others never showed up that were scheduled. But maybe putting them back on the schedule means they've finally worked out the problems and they really mean it this time.
Since I haven't read virtually any of those stories (except for a few odds and ends and the Super-Friends), I'll be interested in almost all of them to one extent or another. That Atomic Knights one looks kind of wacky. That Captain Carrot book is a monster, but I've never read any of those and I've heard reasonably good things about them, so hopefully it isn't priced so high I pass. Likewise, I'll probably go for the Jonah Hex one, since he has big fans of that era.
I agree that Challs 3 is getting to be an obvious choice, given the other stuff they're producing. I realize they'll expect a dropoff in sales after the Kirby era stuff, but I still think there's enough value in those stories that it would sell as well as Creature Commandos or Men of War. But maybe there's more fans with nostalgia for those titles than for the Challs, which were pretty much an after thought.
Clearly, there's a reason no more Superman Family books are coming along, but I don't know what it is. Even a movie, bad as it was, didn't shake anything loose. I can't believe sales on the previous SP: Superman were THAT bad, but something's holding it up. That line-up is conspicuously missing anything DCU-ish.

I'll get all of them if they really come out. I always felt that The Creature Commandos, a wacky concept to be sure, was under-rated as a series. And I'm curious about Men of War. I have The Atomic Knights HC and the two Super Friends TPBs but I would really like to read all those "Day After Disaster" tales and you could never have too much Super Friends.
Superman Vol 5? Challengers Vol 3? Yes on both counts.
I would also like to see another Brave & Bold, Aquaman, SHAZAM!, Green Lantern (all those Flash back ups collected) and Teen Titans.
Assuming they all come out, I could see myself buying all of these. I enjoyed SP: Strange Adventures 1 and Jonah Hex 1, and the others sound interesting--maybe not great, but interesting.
