Thing From Another World Gift Card

Hey gang,

My Christmas presents arrived and I opened them to discover that Thing From Another World included a special holiday gift certificate.  Except I don't need to buy any more trades right now because I already got a bunch as a Christmas present.  So I would like to offer the gift card to you, my fellow Legionnaires.  I don't know how much it's worth.  It's a holiday surprise, somewhere from $5 to $100.  It must be used by Dec. 31.  Send me a message if you would like to use it and I will send you the online promo code.  I'd much rather give it away than throw it away.

Merry Christmas

  • I'm interested but I had to friend you before the site would let me send you a message.
  • I have to ask; is it a 'universal' gift-card (as in a major credit card company's gift-card, so it is accepted just about anywhere), or is it store-specific?

If no-one else is taking, I'll gladly accept it.

  • It was store specific to Thing From Another World (comic book web site) and yes, I already gave it to Jason.
  • @ Chris: That's cool. I hope he enjoys it. They have some great stuff on TFAW.

    @ Jason: Enjoy!

  • Things From Another World in Beaverton, Oregon is my LCS, Chris. I'm there, naturally, once a week.
  • Cool.  I shop at their online site every once in a while when I want discount tpbs.

  • I've never really visited the site before. It's pretty cool though. I ended up getting a few Marvel Essentials from their nick & dent sale. I'll be shopping there again.
  • I can order nick-and-dent items from the website and have them sent to my LCS. No shipping! I've done that a couple of times, most recently with Star Wars Omnibus: Early Victories and Star Wars Infinites: The Empire Strikes Back.
  • I bought a bunch of stuff from their nick & dent list a year or so ago, and couldn't find any significant blemishes on any of the books.  Heck of a deal, if it happens to include things you want.
