  • I'll have more to say when I do.

    I can hardly wait.

    What's 9-13 "timeline 1" (2:31-2:57)?

    • It's a reference to "The Curse of Fatal Death", a humorous bit done for a charity event  in March 1999, written by some ascended fanboy called Steven Moffat.  It stars Rowan Atkinson, Richard E. Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant and Joanna  Lumley as the Ninth through Thirteenth Doctors, with Julia Sawalha as his companion, Emma, Jonathan Pryce as the Master, and Roy Skelton's last performance as the voice of the Daleks. It's quite funny, skewering many of the conventions and cliches of the original series.

Of course, although it was never meant to be taken seriously, some Humorless Fanboys complained that Moffat had used up the Doctor's remaining regeenerations, so there could never be anymore Doctor Who.  undecided

Atkinson would make for a pretty good Doctor, actually.

    • That sounds familiar for some reason. I must have read a reference to it somewhere without knowing what it was. I recognized Hugh Grant. I'll save "The Curse of Fatal Death" to cast to TV and watch with Tracy. Thanks!

  • "Timeline of the Doctor's Regenerations" - That was incredibly complete. Tracy had the "season two" finale spoiled for her, but I didn't. Actually, I did see (and ignored) some headlines that should have been spoilers... if I had realized at the time what they meant. Since the final (?) episode, I have been reading some of those online articles, and... I don't know.

"The Curse of Fatal Death" - That was cute. The production values were such that it could have been an actual episode (except for the humor and that the Doctor ran through his remaining regenerations faster than Lois Lane used up her super-power in Lois Lane #23). The most recent showrunners have the show's continuity so f*cked up now that this short might as well be in continuity. I recognized Rowan Atkinson, too, when I saw the whole thing (but I didn't know his name). I agree: he would have made a good Doctor.

    • Tracy had the "season two" finale spoiled for her,

      Oops.

    • No, no, no... not by you. By the "internets." I just mentioned it because the video spoiled it as well (as you clearly noted).

    • So she explained to me.  Of course, to my knowledge, we still don't know if/when the show is returning.
