The Invisibles Vol. 4: Bloody Hell In America, the skinny little volume in the Invisibles library. And Cinderella: From Fabletown With Love #1. I still plan to trade wait the series, but cover artist Chrissie Zullo was signing books and doing free sketches at my LCS, so I bought a copy. She's a sweetheart, and drew me a gorgeous pencil sketch of Cinderella: the first in the sketchbook I finally decided to start taking to conventions. I liked this first issue, so I'm looking forward to the eventual collection.

I read Evan Dorkin & Jill Thompson's Beasts of Burden #1 yesterday. I'm definitely on board for the rest of this series... this was incredibly good.

I just started Yoshihiro Tatsumi's A Drifting Life, his autobiography. Might not be the biggest graphic novel I've ever read, but at over 800 pages it's pretty close.

West Coast Blues by Jacques Tardi, adapting a novel by Jean-Patrick Manchette. Great B&W crime fiction.

Stumptown by Greg Rucka...his Alias-like female detective comic from Oni without superheroes...is pretty awesome!

Read The Great Ten #1 of 10. It's not too bad.

I read the second issue of The Anchor last night...it's the new Phil Hester-written book from Boom!...and it continues to be great. The Anchor is a huge, bearded man who is the guardian between Hell and Earth. In this issue, he is befriended by the ghost of a boy recently killed by a demon.

The Batman/Doc Savage one-shot was very pretty due to the Phil Noto art, but there wasn't much to the story. The character previews for the upcoming series set on Earth-1940 (my name for it) look promising, though. It's sort of the DC Earth if Superman and other superpowered characters never showed up. Doc, Batman, the Blackhawks, Black Canary (without the scream), the Spirit...they'll all be featured in the stories coming in March, 2010.

Besides my Batman a day, Looney Tunes 180 This is my least favorite of the Looney tunes so far. the best story was Bugs getting lost at Elmer's School Of Dentistry. There were a few good gags but a poor payoff. The rest were just forgettable.

Cinderella:From Fabletown With Love 1 This looks like a good series. Someone is selling magic artifacts. Cinderella has to track down the artifacts and find out who is behind it.

I haven't been posting every day, but I've been reading this at lunch most days. I'm 300-some pages in. Tatsumi is into his early professional career in manga.

First three issues in The Invisibles Book 5: Counting To None, first issue in Jack of Fables Vol. 6: The Big Book Of War, and Darwyn Cooke's adaptation of The Hunter. That's a lot of good reading.
