Here is a thread on which to discuss the Oscars - the Academy Awards - for this year , 2104 .

Of course I was kidding, like you do sometimes.
Since I watch most of my movies on Netflix these days, the only movies with major nominations I've seen so far are Blue Jasmine and Captain Phillips. I really want to see all of the others but not at movie-house prices. I'll be watching the Oscars. I don't know how people can decide between these terrific movies. They are apples and oranges. Having just seen Tom Hanks as Captain Phillips, I'm amazed he wasn't nominated.

...THE LONE RANGER was up for two behind-the-scenes , lost both:-( - I yelled ofr it (Alone in my room:-() .
This was more luv than THE MAN OF STEEL got , it officially was only in a montage of " Heroes " .
Maybe the Academy's also bunch of die-hard Silver Agers ?
